1997 Japanese grey import shagging wagon diesel MPV,
Far and away the most useful vehicle I could ask for.
Backed up with a simple and reliable 2003 Japanese 3 door flat floored hatchback
with non-cambelt engine, which is my runabout.
Both built to proper right hand drive spec, unlike all the bodged left hand drive stuff foisted on this country's motorists by Europe.
Want to keep both as long as possible. Really don't want modern cars which are too clever for their own good. |

"I drive a wheelchair that is hard enough especially with those idiot car drivers on the road. "
I drive a Kuschall K4 manual wheelchair and also an adapted Renault Sport Tourer. My car now has a hand clutch system called a duck clutch.
I don't drive both at the same time |

"Little A class. A180. Not a big car person but i am quite fond of it. "
I have one of those. Totally impractical. Bang my head when I get in or out of it, boot isn't big enough, and the it bottoms out over speed bumps and even reversing into a friend's driveway. Oh, and I like to sing along when driving but the bloody computer keeps interrupting the music with "how may I help you" if I sing a "hey", as Hey is an activation word.
It's a company car, and was given the choice between this and an Audi A3. I sold my own car last year, but might look for something a bit more practical for weekend use once some kind of normality returns. |

I drive an Auris diesel
It's a sensible option
Not flash to look at, a badge that doesn't say 'nick me', great fuel economy, plus it's got lots of useful extras like the panoramic roof, sat nav, cameras & heated seats
Not had one problem with it beyond general wear & tear
It's 6 years old in March so considering trading it but there's not much else I fancy at the minute, certainly not in a budget that I can justify to myself
That's my issue
I would never spend huge amounts on a car
I don't know how people justify £500+ a month on a car, unless it's a company vehicle / car allowance |
