I currently feel like I’m stuck in the mud in my life ...
It was really starting to take off and my future looked rather bright and exciting but covid/brexit is going to have a knock on effect of travelling free across the world ...

My only plan is to be around when we can actually do things, but that feels a tad ambitious right now. Guess we will all be in the same rut in five years time. |

In 5 years there'll probably be war, economic meltdown, civil unrest, rising sea levels and an ecological disaster.
Brexit and a Pandemic will feel like the good times! |

Hopefully in a similar situation to now, only with older, more independent kids and a better car! I like my life. I'm happy with my work and very content being single. |

. Been on benefits can be tough and soul destroying for people that are used to working and want to get on in life. I know as I use to see and speak to them every day face to face before Covid19 took over. I hope your industry can find a way to survive and if it does not your survive you are able to move on and find something suitable. |

In 5 years I hope to be healthier and slimmer. And maybe I’ll be able to join in the forum posts adding my comments about all the naughty things I’ve tried over the last 5 years.
Hopefully I’ll be in the same job but no longer referred to as a ‘key worker’ as that’ll be a distant memory!

Career wise, in a more senior position with more relevant skills than I have at the minute. Luckily I'm in an industry that doesn't seem too badly hit by Covid.
Personally, I would also like to have found someone to settle down with but appreciate that the more I think about, the more likely I am to try and force it if it eventually happens  |

For anyone that’s thinking of a change I think over the next few years is a great time as all previous procedures and ways of industries are going to be changing so I think if you’re gonna do it now is the time after things get in their ways it’ll be harder to swap and change  |

Not 5 years but we are hoping to be mortgage free in 7 years. 2020 has made me realise that financial stability may not buy happiness but it gives peace of mind. All extra funds this year will either go to cushioning our emergency fund (which took a hit) or over payments on our mortgage. We know it’s not exciting or reaching the sky but it’s comfort in our minds and heart.

I've been pondering this question since you posted it OP.
And the answer is I really have no idea. I'd like to think I'll be happy, but honestly that's about all I can come up with at the moment.
I had plans for things last year that obviously weren't able to happen, and right now I just haven't the power to believe that there will come a time when I'll be comfortable planning more than a few months or a year in advance again. |

Thank you, I got asked to leave mainstream Ed at 13 1/2 my science education stopped then... along with many other subjects... annoying I will have to pay to take the exam I’ve never taken, but should be fun
