How often do you go to your wardrobes and discard items you haven't worn in ages or no longer fit or suit you?

Are you ruthless or are you a bit of a clothes hoarder?

Somewhere in between. I have a jammed full rack in the office that I should get round to ebaying. I am a hoarder of t shirts tho. I should throw out about 40 or so but can't bring myself to do it.

Think I've still got shirts from the 90s .

It's been that long I might even find Narnia if I looked

Yes I think I fit into that category.

I think I sometimes form an emotional attachment to clothes so even if I have no intention of wearing it I can't throw it out.

Please let me know if you find Narnia as I'd love it there.

I wouldn't say I'm a horder but I've it throw out stuff just because my size changed. I used to then regretted it when I got back to that size so I try to keep things about more now. I only get rid of stuff if I'm adamant I'll never wear it again or it falls apart.

Hoarder. And guess what.. it worked for me. I have worn some outfits from pre kids which I was attached to and kept.. and when there are times when I feel too big for my liking I can get out some old jumper dress and be cosy and happy.

I have an 'in use' wardrobe that is seasonal and then a secondary wardrobe in the attic room that contains the stuff not in use and the stuff that needs ironing

I am pretty organised

I used to do clear outs seasonally and would always feel so much guilt (2 bin bags full) of the stuff I would get rid off. This all changed when I lost my job a few years back, I realised I really didn’t need to buy that many clothes and it was a waste of money and bad for the environment. I now buy around 5-10 items a year (normally second hand) and very rarely get rid of something unless I am certain it is not for me. Losing my job was not fun but that year taught me a lot about what is essential and what isn’t.

Twice a year but I do actually have a propensity for hoarding where clothes are concerned which can spiral out of control, so i should do it more really.

I mean proper hoarding too, not just having too many clothes and nowhere to put them. When I’m older you’ll see me on a Channel 5 programs I have no doubt.

Hoarder.

I pretty much live in either work clothes or pj's so no idea why I do it!

Actually I do. I think it's simply being able to have the choice. There have been loads of times in my life where I've had to choose based on necessity and I've gone without, so something as simple as having a choice of clothes to wear rather than having to wear what's there is a small pleasure.

Most of my clothes apart from pj's and work trousers have been gifts or cast offs where others have had a clear out

I once threw some socks away, after they wore holes in the heels. Does that count as clearing out the wardrobe?

Absolutely that counts.

I have such a basic wardrobe. Things get thrown if they're too worn to wear, or passed on to a friend or sister if I don't wear them anymore.

I had a knicker clearout and that was liberating. Proper Marie Khondo, do I enjoy wearing them?... if not, see ya!

I started clearing out my underwear drawers last night and my wardrobe and chest of drawers will be done over the weekend.

I always get that new year urge to declutter.

I'm pretty ruthless, if I ever buy a new item of clothing, it's to replace another one wheather it's jeans, t shirts, jumpers or even polo shirts.

My wardrobe is also colour coordinated by lightest to darkest in clothing category. I don't mess about
