"i know Liverpool are going to win the league this season, who do you think ?"
they didnt get relegated last year did they? lol
will be one of the manchester clubs again, imo
the race for the CL places should be the interesting story again this year.
spurs
chelsea
liverpool
manchesters city and utd
maybe a couple of suprises like sunderland or everton, if they get a decent start.
should be a interesting one again.
my lot will be looking to stay up, again.
hope clarke can get us playing as well as hodgeson did. |

think the 40/1 is big enough indication that liverpool have zero chance of winning the league!
Man City again i think ... but so far transfer market has been quiet so United might pull something out. |

transfers never really start in earnest until august after a championships, though.
suppose with so many young players at the olympics too, it may be even later this year. |

There's a good reason why they're 40/1. Top two will be City/Utd, 3rd between Chelsea/Newcastle. Arsenal are resigned to losing RVP and they'll miss his 30+ goals. Spurs hads a good shot at CL football last year and fucked it up and they haven't made any major signings yet but will lose Modric - that'll hurt.
Chelsea & Newcastle have strengthened their squads though so you can expect them to be tussling for 3rd place(Chelsea won't need to finish 3rd or 4th as they're in the CL as Champions anyway, but only the top three will go through if Chelsea aren't one of them and my money's on Newcastle bagging that 3rd place) |

Pah..Man City or Chelsea if they can get off to a flyer
Man U will seriously need to up their game this season to get in the top two and I can't see it happening.
So City and Chelsea have to serious 6 pointers to look forward to and I think they will probably determine who wins the league |

Borini scored 6 in 9 when he was on loan at Swansea and did ok at Roma. So from Chelsea where he only played a couple of games to Swansea to Roma. And now to Anfield
Given Liverpool's record last year it could possibly be viewed as a backward step |

No chance I'm afraid. Brendan was great for us at Swansea but he's only got one game plan and he can't/won't vary it....ever. Your going to have a good season until Xmas when everyone figures out your style of play. Good luck but don't expect too much. Still amazed that the Yanks got shot of Dogleash for Rodgers. |

Not surprised they got rid of king kenny, surprised at getting rodgers though, but we shall see"
Kenny was brought in for the season to stabilise the club... He spent silly money on proven players who in tern let him down, now under br players will have to show their cause as to bra's 7second rule...! Exciting times |

Silly money yes, but at least he didnt hurt us too badly unlike previous managers trying to make a point against former owners.
Any way, we shall see how it goes, if we finish in the top 5 I will be shocked. Made up but shocked. I think we need to gel better as a team and have a decent forward or 3 rather than bench warmers.
As for our back 4, Skirtel and Agger play a very similar game, just wish Carra had a time machine |

I hear you Lulu, personally I think we'll finish top 4 this season, though the first 10 games are going to set the standard and represent a difficult start to the season.
Just watched the first pre season game which was encouraging considering so many first teamers out.
Can't wait for the first home game in the league against the one season champions.
I'd love to have the faith of the OP, and actually at 40/1 why not stick a few bob on it, stranger things have happened and Liverpool were already playing a passing high pressure game last year, just didn't have the ability to finish a team off or put the ball in the net enough |

"Most fans would agree lfc youth team is one of the best good to see Morgan bag a goal tonight another talent"
True and a lot of the legacy of changing the yoputh policy came from Rafa Benetiz, which the club is beginning to see the fruits of his efforts, plus the movement and cross from Sterling was wonderful leading to Morgan's goal |

"Following Oscar's signing by Chelsea, Liverpool have shown an interest in Bert and Ernie."
Key question at Chelski is at what stage of the season will Di Matteo be sacked.
And I'd ceratinly place a small wager that Liverpool will finish above Chelski in the league this coming season. |

Only a small one? Doesn't exactly ooze confidence does it?
And the irony of people calling Chelsea 'Chelski' despite their own clubs being owned by foreigners isn't lost on me. (albeit in general with far less investment, just debt servicing) |

Im going to be completely objective here as im a Chelsea fan and have been since i was knee high lol .........
So im going to say that Chelsea will smash it this season without any questions.... heres why...
Best manager at present
Best new signings ( marin, Hazard etc )
And after our epic display last season it can only get better
Tried to be objective ......... Stuff that Chelsea all the way lol |

there is a reason they are 40-1.. its cos the people who actually know, think they havent got a chance.

Can we nail this Chelski thing once and for all. It's because of Abramovich isn't it?. Roman is Russian not Polish. Therefore if you want to change a teams name solely based on the nationality of its owner Chelsea fans would appreciate it if you would refer to our glorious team and current European Champions as Chelskov, not the commonly used Chelski. we appreciate you lose the rhyming element but you can't have it all.
Many thanks

Spurs have so far spent close to £60m in the transfer window...is this in anticipation of the Bale sale or are they really going for it...the big Premier League spenders so far!!! |
