If I send a message and you reply in a positive way, that's fine.
If I message and you read it and delete it, that's also fine as you are obviously not interested.
The problem I have is when you read a message but don't respond and don't delete.
Are you interested? are you thinking about it? Are you waiting to see if I send another message?
Help, please. |

The way I read a non reply is as 'No thanks'
That way, if you do get a reply in a few hours (or days) then it's an unexpected bonus
If you don't get a reply then you're no worse off |

Don't wait and think, just move on. It's a no, unless you ever hear otherwise. Live in the moment, maximise and enjoy it - which is what I'm doing when I get a message that I didn't reply to, or delete. Let go, and live. |

If I leave a message on read, it’s usually because I’m not interested, I’ll mark it read if I don’t have time to reply there and then, and I’ll only delete if offensive or ignored what I said in my profile.
Then I’ll do a mass delete at some point. |

I rarely delete messages. But then I often reply out of politeness. I only really ignore the ‘hey’ type messages. I even reply to the obvious fakes when I’m bored.
Don’t overthink it, if they were interested you’d know.
