If I'm reading it correctly you can search so you are in the age range people are looking for.
It's in advanced search, under age range. There is a check box "I'm the range they are looking for" or something like that |

In the same advanced search function, you can also tick a box ‘exclude those not looking for single guys’, that’s also a good time saver 
When it comes to local searches, I block every profile I don’t match what they’re looking for, and everyone I have no interest in. This means every time you sign in, you only see local updates from people you are more likely to have a match with. It cuts the wheat from the chaff, so to speak......  |
