Just took the dog out for his last walk
The sky here is clear and crisp and star filled
It reminded me of a drawing I have on my bedroom wall
I've set it briefly as my profile pic
If you are struggling not seeing your friends at the minute, take a look and then, if it's clear where you are, go look at the stars

"Lovely drawing OP. Is It from or based on An American Tail?
Reminds me of the song “Somewhere out there” "
I've honestly no idea I'm afraid Luna
I wasn't looking for anything, I just follow the artist online
I thought it was nice and contacted him to see if it was for sale
I've had it 9-10 months or so
I guess I'm just a sentimental old fool at heart
My drawing skills are pretty much pre-school |

When it's a clear night I go to the big park which is pitch black at night away from the city lights.
You get an amazing view of the stars.
It's awe inspiring.
It's amazing how much the city lights affects the view.

Me too! Particularly the
“Somewhere out there
Beneath the pale moonlight
Someone's thinking of me
And loving me tonight”
I always think to myself “no they’re bloody not” and have a little sniffle |

"Looking at the stars puts you in touch with the universe, and that you're a part of something much bigger. "
I also get that feeling when I pop down the coast. (It's only a mile away from where I live)
When you look out at the vastness of the ocean it's very humbling. |

You're right.
It does also install an element of fear within you when you see how vast it is.

This will explode it!... When you look at those stars you're looking at the past in some cases thousands or even millions of years ago. If you could see them in the position they are now they would be different!! |
