Anyone else feel like they're getting thicker during this pandemic. My communication skills are descending into neanderthal like grunts and growls. Punctuation, spelling and grammar all also on the decline. Reading and comprehension still at a decent level. Any tips to improve mental agility? I’ll have to resort to text speak and hand signal if things dont get better

I have noticed a trend of i'll listen if its what I want to hear going on, so I've become louder and speak very clearly as times gone on

It’s probably because we’re getting out of practice? Don’t be too hard on yourself

I do online room escape games and puzzle games. I read a lot too, but my ability to recall certain words I want to use is waning, alarmingly.

I'm lazy in the way that i don't read what I've typed and end up writing something that doesn't make sense or has spelling mistakes.

"I'm losing the ability to spell and having to Google words and copy n paste into my posts "

I sometimes write a word and have to check on Google it means what I think it means.

Unfortunately I can no longer rely on autotext.

Since joining Fab, it changes normal words to rude ones due to what I've posted here

Nooo, I learnt a new life skill today. I used a drill for the first time (to drill into masonry!) so I’m feeling empowered and like I could now build a house

Mind you, my first attempt didn’t go well as I had the drill on reverse rather than forwards but got there in the end.

Never too old to learn something new

its easy to get brain fatigue so I've been trying to avoid that... the big thing I have noticed is my handwriting has gradually got worse and worse.

I think because everything is done via video call & email now I hardly ever actually write anything, and when I do even I can hardly read it..

I'm sure parenthood cost me at least 20 IQ points. Lockdown has been good for my brain as I've had time to read more. Read some Austen or Hardy to revitalize your vocabulary. I'm still not as sharp as I was pre-babies though

Could you find a pen pal on here? You'll be hyperaware of not making any mistakes and you can try and give them quimlust with your command of the english language.
