"Oh, I thought this was going to be a thread on the popular mid ‘90’s trio, who’s hits included ‘Good Enough’ and ‘Staying out for the Summer’. Shame. "

This is alarm bells for us after a bad experience a few years ago when we first joined.
Granted there may be genuine people re-joining after a break. But this was a guy who had a webcam verification, set up a couples account and verified that, then they verified a single female account, and there was a whole host of fake accounts all attributed to this one guy, all with the goal of collecting pics and trying to funnel people into meeting him. We were a little green, they were arranging meets with us then cancelling, or a no show, or away but their friend would meet us if we liked. Took a lot not to arrange a meet with the back side of a bat when we finally worked it out.
One of his old personas actually popped up about a week ago, verified by a couple within minutes of the account opening. |

It can be a case of being a former member. And old friends have verified them. We have done so for friends, obviously ones we have met and know are goodies.Doesnt make them any less genuine.
However that doesnt mean that all are genuine. I dont doubt that there are dodgy profiles with dodgy verifications. But how to tell is obviously the quandary. Who knows?
Tis a tricky one.
