Don't know about others, but when we see a single male profile that starts with "I am not single" and mentions needing discretion, we tend to not want those type of people as friends.
Maybe if you made it clear if you are cheating or not some people may see you in a different light. |

You can be friends without being on someone's friend list.
Also better few than too many, as I can't imagine you are able to form lots of close connections with many people at once. Lots of flirting, ego boosting, giggles yes but no more than that. And how many people like feeling like one of many?
