Crufts 2021

It seems Crufts is planning to go ahead this year, but in the summer rather than the usual spring dates.

I cannot imagine how much planning is going to have to go into organising a socially distanced version of this event.

I expect tickets will be like gold dust too.

Do you show or do you just love doggos?

Just got my #1 buddy at the moment

If I had more time and deeper pockets, it would be a different story

Glasgowish

I have been to Crufts anf it is very busy. Can not see how it would be safe to go ahead unless it is only for the contestants and not for the public.

He is a rescue, so the typical mix of staffie and tasmanian devil

He's a good fit for me, we've grown old together, matching grey stubble

I go to crufts every year with my dogs and I compete with them throughout the year both in the UK and abroad.

Crufts has moved to July, but as there were no championship shows in 2020, many dogs have been unable to qualify.

Most exhibitors can’t see it being able to go ahead, if it does it certainly won’t be on the same scale as normal.

Always rescue for me

I'd love more, but he isn't dog friendly, so not a reality atm

I live my additional dog needs by donating to Dogs4Rescue and following all their stories on FB

It's heart-warming to see them all finding their way through

Yes, I read that this morning.

I'm clinging to hope though since every other one of my hobbies is suspended too.

Huge fundraiser here too. Can't read the back stories though as I'm too sensitive (to animal cruelty - heart like a swinging brick to most other things )

Me too. And the World dog show Czech in Autumn.

Find out in April if the normal champ shows start cancelling again, crufts will have no chance.

I guessed how precarious the situation was when the tickets still weren't on sale this morning

"I do flyball at crufts "

That's very athletic, it's normally the dogs that do it
