About half an hour ago I had a phonecall on my landline, I answered and a guy said "Hiya is that *******", I said yes and he said "It doesn't sound like you" and hung up!
I did 1471 and rung back, went straight to answer machine so left it a little while and I've just rang him back and asked him why he asked for me and then hung up on me....he said he was trying to get hold of his grand-daughter who is also called ****** and that he would delete my number

I did wonder at first if it could be someone I'd been in touch with off here..... my landline number is in the public domain due to the part-time franchise I run as well as working full time, so anyone who knows my real first name and what franchise I run would be able to find my home number off t'interweb without too much difficulty.....'twas a localish accent.....thinking on I don't reckon it's owt sinister....
