Going down the same old road we went down last March and November smart-arsesary aside.....
I’d like people to contribute tips and ideas and advice for surviving lockdown if you live alone. Likely its been done before but it’d be nice to hear it again imho. The next 7/8 weeks are going to be difficult anyway, so any support and guidance would be good? |

I'm not alone, I'm lucky so tell me to butt out of you want.
Structure to your day, regular meals of good food, get outside when you can, stay connected, don't be afraid to ask for help, have a goal. Log off fab if it's getting you down. Switch off the news.
Chatting on here might help |

"I'm struggling today.
I'm trying to be silly as a distraction but I can't get into it.
I'm feeling too sensible for once "
Its hard to stave off the crap sometimes. Is it best to let the feeling happen when you get like this? |

Getting out some where - taking some deep breaths of fresh air and preferably some exercise, really helps, I find. |

This is great advice. Use the time to invest in hobbies or things that have always been of interest but we struggle to find the time for. Whether that’s blogging, photography, language, music, singing, sign language (one of my lock down goals!!!!), fitness or cooking!
Do awesome stuff and share it with everyone on here |

I've been socially isolated for 4yrs now, so lockdown hasn't affected me too badly as I'm used to it.
I use humour and silliness as a counter balance for my coping mechanism.
I'll be ok, just need to give my head a wobble and seek out stupid threads |

Like nicecouple said; structure Your day. Plan your meals. Maybe also Plan to meet a friend for socially distanced exercise once a week so you have something to look forward to too. I did this last time. Managed my 10,000 steps while walking round the local park. It was lovely to actually see a friend and have a catch up while making sure I did some steps. (Just a note; a thermos flask coffee mug holds half a bottle of Prosecco!). Keep away from things that get you annoyed like social media etc. Other than that I don’t know what to say. It’s been an age since I last left the house apart from visiting the hospital for treatments.... try to make yourself laugh at least once a day. I have a video clip my son sent me that I play every now and again as it’s guaranteed to make me laugh out loud! |

Reading, a creative hobby that occupies your concentration and your hands, indoor exercise, diy, gardening, music and film. It depends how active or cerebral you want to be. A mix of both is best, variety. Don't forget to get outside for that hour of exercise if you can, even if it's just a walk. |

My 68 year old mum has discovered the joys of Tik Tok and is watching funny vids to lift her spirits a bit.
I’ve ordered a gardening book and some sketch pads to do some art.
The great pottery throw down starts next week so I’ll be recording that to watch.
All I need I Gardeners World to restart and my mental health will lift a bit as I find it relaxing to watch.

This Saturday I'm opening a bottle of hard liquor - probably bourbon and I'm aiming to finish it tbe Friday evening of the first week.
Then I will open a second bottle (TBC) and do the same and repeat until the end of lockdown 3. |
