Hi sorry to have this little rant, but I’m a little disgusted with major retailers and manufacturers not doing enough!!

Can I start with coffee pods ( dolce gusto & tassimo ) can we have bio degradable pods please?

Fruit and veg in supermarkets... please use less plastic packaging!!!

Most manufacturers of white goods household goods, is it really necessary to wrap and put everything into polythene bagels etc?

Tea bags, they are plastic they’re not tissue or paper so not biodegradable!!

Can you think of anymore?

Amen.

Very little excuse these days with all the advancements in manufacturing. I'm a single guy and seriously looking at my shopping habits. I've started to buy loose veg where I can for starters but availabity is poor in most supermarkets. Finding a decent local greengrocer is my next step. I love mushrooms and pretty much cook them in most meals so knowing the plastic carton they come in is unrecyclable really pisses me off

We have a milkman, Nespresso give you a recycling bag for their aluminium capsules.

We also use local greengrocers and butchers.

Also... loose leaf tea is the way forward

Why do mail order companies use a load of packaging and a huge box for a small item, a proper wind up. I am sure they could deliver more with the right size boxes and reduce the carbon footprint
