I must admit to never having seen this, have seen many request to see a face pic but never demand one and not to demand on on a profile, but if your finding this a lot look upon it as a way to not engage with people who have different outlooks as yours.  |

There is a curiosity factor in the seeming double standard...;-)
Yet it is not enough to do more than raise a wry smile and enjoy other profiles which contain pictures...
