First off it was to be a farmer's wife because they baked bread all day (I was only 4) then the following year I decided to be in the job I am still in today, nearly 50 years later and I still love it |

i always remember a careers leaflet for a 'drivers mate'. Basically you sat there and gabbed to the driver most of the day only getting out of the wagon every now and again at delivery drops to help him with carrying stuff.
I thought what a job lol. |

I wanted to be an archeologist as well from an early age....still do - soon as I win the Euromillions, I'm packing in the ratrace and going back to school to study Egyptology......will work Egypt in the Winter and come back to excavate Hadrian's Wall when it's too hot in the desert |

I wanted to be a Prima Ballerina. I have no talent for any kind of dance though. The closest I got was owning a pair of ballet shoes.
Must be nice to balance your foot against a nice big package in the male ballet dancers tights though, not that there is any man on this earth strong enough to lift me over their head

When I was growing up, there were still concerts being done by big bands and orchestras, but with modern music; for example, James Last and similar ones!
With my love of singing, I wanted to become a backing singer; my parents said No. Funnily enough, I'd still want to do that! |

At five a zoo keeper as I loved animals.
At seven I thought perhaps they might spend an inordinate amount of time shovelling shit up so plumped for being an astronaut.
At around ten I realised that Britain didn't have a space program of any note plus the challenger disaster the previous year had been a bit of an eye-opener so I decided on being an architect. Even went to part way through the degree before financial issues meant I had to jack it in.
Now the job I'd most like to do is to write as its something I've always done but just considered it a hobby really...I'm still not grown up yet! |
