Talking Christmas decorations.

This year I really enjoyed putting effort into making our home Christmassy, not that anyone saw it

Over the next few days I have to take it apart, its leaving me a little sad, but also it's a new start for a new year.

We all need one of those!

Happy New Year Everyone xx

Hey Jo! Happy New Year!

I have an old fashioned ceiling clothes airer in my kitchen. Just because it was such a ridiculous notion I hung all my Christmas baubles from it back in April last year so my decs had been up for months! It looked fab!

I took them down yesterday and replaced with flowers and greenery. Hopefully the absurdity of 2020 won’t continue until Christmas 2021!!!

I can understand those who didn't put them up too, it's been such an odd year.

I saw it it as a little therapy as my daughter and I made lots of homemade ones this year

Next year hopefully will be better x

Not yet, no. Going to do it this weekend. I'm the saddest about taking down the wreath, I love seeing it and I spent time making it. Oh well! I think in the spring I might try and do another seasonal one.

I'll take ours down gradually over the next few days as can't stand them all disappearing at once.

Some of them I class as winter decorations so will stay up a bit longer as make the house look cosy x

Although I take my decorations down by 12th night, I always leave the wreath on my door until it is past its best before taking it down. It's often up until March.

I’m in a dilemma. My Christmas got cancelled.... do I leave the decorations up until late March when we hope we can have it?

I have two trees. One fake and one real. The real one hasn’t dropped any needles yet but it could be funny if it’s completely bald

The only decorations up in my house were star lights and a big snowflake light in the living room window and 3 festive rubber ducks (angel, Santa and rudolph) all down and away now.

At mums (where we are most of the time anyway) there was 2 trees in the living room and various wall decorations plus a wreath I made for her and a tree in my daughters room now all away too

When I was single, I used to leave them up all year round, but I only used to just put a bit of tinsel etc around one picture on the wall.

Xmas 2019, When I went to do my Xmas cards to send to friends, I was confused as to why some had sent me two when I looked at who had sent me one.

I eventually worked out, that I had not taken the ones down on the mantlepiece from Xmas 2018 and went a full year not noticing them.
