I've romped a few times before, never frolicked sadly. Romping is almost as satisfying as typing the word or slowly savouring the short piquant sound to it. Romp. Rooomp.

Does romping have to take part in a field or can it be done anywhere ?

I’ve done all those with a bit of frolicking, gambolling and roistering playfully tossed in for good measure

I have frolicked through fields before.

Dragging my fingertips along the wheat.

It's very overrated

I always picture gambolling as being like those women who jump through the fire in The Wicker Man when they go and see Christopher Lee.

Me too - I am a 5 min walk from the beach and love taking my dog for walks there. Usually in winter it’s very quiet but being in tier 4 means it’s almost as busy as the summer as the world has descended.

A field is fine for frolicking, a romp requires revelry and a field isn't the most conducive for a good romp. A lark is a good alternative to romping for those days when the field are full of politicians and the gluten intolerant.

I spent Christmas Day binge watching it - not bad but not BBC quality

I love the way they promenade in Europe during the evenings and Sunday afternoons. Lots more people promenade in U.K. now due to the need to pass the time and get some exercise.
