It's a great start OP. A few years back, I could only do 35 press-ups in two minutes as I was a runner and didn't really pay much attention to my upper body. I wanted to improve so I started small like you OP, 4 months later I was able to do 96 in two minutes.all that training gave me good definition of my arms so it was well worth it.

It depends what else you're doing alongside it and what is your goal OP. "

I'm doing sit ups using dumbbells to build my arms my goal is to build a bit of muscle and get fit for the summer

Is the wife sitting on your back

Do what you can a build up 5 a day week1 10 a day week 2 15 a day week 3

But also best done in sets

I'm just starting to do sit ups using dumbbells my goal is to build some muscle and get fit for the summer.
