Don't laugh, it could happen!
After a comment from a friend, on a recent thread, she implied that her inbox was full so missed or hasn't got round to friends messages.
Well, here's the brainwave, is it possible to have a friend's only messaging system on Fab!

I have 0 friends but I like the idea, people can get rather flooded with messages so can be hard to sort through them and filter into who are already friends |

I think it's a great idea. Or at least being able to scroll through more than page 1 of the inbox.
I think most people who are friends keep in touch offline. |

"If you block man, women and couples - you have a friends only mailbox
"
Yes, but wouldn't you also like to have random messages as well. I was just thinking about those, women obviously, who get hundreds of messages per day. |

Maybe it'd be an intermediate step from normal Fabster to Fab Friend to real friend with your email address. |

"I don't see that it's necessary
Please see post below yours, my point exactly. "
I think it might still lead to whingeing type posts about messages that don't receive a reply |

Not from me, not what's spurred me on this thread, I assure you. |

"It would be good if messages from friends were marked and appear at the top of your inbox. I think that would be helpful and better than a separate system or two inboxes. "
Even better |

I think it could be a great idea as some of us guys that don’t get a look in could be being deleted without having been given a chance. But i do also think that the popular people on here have what they need and will continue to mass delete as we aren’t relevant at that time |

"I quite like having an excuse not to reply straight away... sometimes I just don't wanna. "
exactly
And to be honest OP your friend might be fibbing about messages from people she wants to speak to getting 'lost'
Even if you have 100 messages in your inbox it takes 2 minutes to scan the names of who they're from.

A lady once sent me snap shot of her inbox which showed 1499 unread messages! |

Maybe they could be highlighted a different colour so they stand out as being from friends.
I can't see it being of any use to males but it might help couples or women who get inundated |

Isn't the idea that it might help men get a reply quicker?
That's how I read it |

Not gender or group specific but just whoever your friends are. |

I have an idea. Just popped into my head, I have an idea!
(Anyone else with kids can now thank me for having that earworm to see them into the new year!)
Oops, oh no, what am I going to do? This is a distaster and I don't know what to do!...
*hums happily* |
