I just transferred my mobile phone to Sky . Previously I would never use up 8gb of data . So I took 10gb with sky ad the price was really good. Now it tells me I've used 2gb in 24 hrs . After being at home most of the day with wifi. Anyone else experience this?? Is it a con you get you to purchase even more data?? |

Sounds dodgy. Should be a usage indicator on your phone. It will say how many gb used on wifi and how many on your phone network.
I use less than 2gb a month. |

first off go through your settings and shut everything down
check to make sure things dont send out or send home you maybe surprised on what apps do phone home often
then its wait till next month to find out |

Found this on a Sky Mobile help forum for someone who asked a similar question to yours OP - could that explain it?
"This happens due to something called pro rata billing. This is because the date you activated your sim and your account became live is probably different to the date you are billed and therefore your data would reset so for the first month so will only see a data allowance for the number of days you have. The next month your data allowance will be the full amount." |

"Turn data usage off, my wifi was on in the house and working fine but the dam phone chose to use my data roaming instead and the usage figure shot up "
Could be the settings ie you have both WiFi and phone data on and phone is using both. Normally the WiFi is priority but your phone could be other way. If all OK something definitely doggy. |
