I have a bit of a hairy belly and I did once shave 'everywhere' but the reverse hairline looked daft. So shaved 'below' and 'trimmed' above.

I have only occasionally come across a man with hair growing up the shaft and its not aesthetically pleasing at all. Having said that a totally shaved groinal area on a man also does nothing for me at times. I guess there is no pleasuring some of us but you like what you like and we all have freedom of choice. |

i prefer mine to be trimmed - don't want to look like a 12y.o or a plucked turkey. Also, smooth balls are more likely to find their way into someone's mouth.

It's all about preference.. Hairless or trimmed seem to be in vogue atm perhaps in part due to the increased popularity and availability of adult entertainment. It was only a few decades ago women were swooning over tom Jones / Burt Reynolds and their prominent hairyness.
