Three weeks after my operations to remove my bowel cancer. I have been told it was caught very early and that I won't need and more treatment.
So this post is just for me and anyone else that wants to say it....
FUCK YOU CANCER!!!!! |

Thats great news OP. Hope it stays the fuck away.
I wasnt so lucky: breast cancer in Oct 17. Single mastectomy & reconstruction. Stage 1 so no chemo/rads. All fine.
However I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in my bones in Sep 20. Confined to my pelvis but I needed a right hip replacement as a result of the damage to my femur caused by cancer.
Undergoing hormone therapy at the mo. Its treatable cancer, not curable. Fuck cancer indeed

I know I'm one of the lucky ones and it could have been a lot worse, I could have ignored the warning signs and still be none aware of it.
U will get sorted and u will be telling cancer to fuck off again soon. |

I (stag) had a lot of signs pointing to cancer and brain tumours at the beginning of the year. Thankfully I was all clear but even just being told it could be cancer send me a bit sideways. |

Congratulations OP.
Cancer is a serious disease where the treatment itself may kill you (chemo or radiotherapy). It reminds me of the Saw movie series, where in order to live, you have to go through something terribly torturous.
Congratulations again OP.

That's what I had mate. Ur mum will need ur help but I'm three weeks in and it gets easier. They will tell her to get up and walk around, it will really hurt but the pain will die down. I went from not be able to sit in the chair on Tuesday to being able to walk to the shops in the hospital by the Friday. But don't let her push her self to hard. It takes time |

I was given the all clear from prostrate cancer last week, couldn't ask for a better Christmas present. Still have a few side effects from treatment but after been given 12-18 months to live initially, I can't thank my medical team enough and hopefully will be able to get back to normality once the pandemic has buggered off too lol. |

Sorry delete by accident!!!!
Well done on such a good outcome some good news for 2020.
It’s funny how your perception of good news changes. I can vividly remember three years ago M was diagnosed with breast cancer and after the agonising wait of two weeks for the biopsy results.
We practically skipped down the corridor with the news of single mastectomy and radio therapy. |

It's good to see all these others that have gone through this awful times and come out smiling, it's heartbreaking and devastating to be told you have cancer, especially when you have absolutely no inkling of it whatsoever, but there is light at the end of the tunnel for so many nowadays, but obviously the sooner its caught the better the chances of full recovery, its terrible to hear of those who unfortunately didn't make it but all the more reason to get checked out when you get the chance. It can be beaten and often is. |

Probably a bit sad that it actually brought a tear to my eye reading all these. I posted it just to get it off my chest in all honesty.
But thank you to everyone one that has replied. And to any one that has just read this but is still going through it. You are not alone, and trust me not being alone is a great feeling.
Cancer can go fuck it self today, tomorrow and always.
