Not sure if it’s a genuine question or being humorous
I’m going to share some fun facts anyway ( you can call me a nerd later lol )
Obviously the main indicator has always been the position of the sun in the sky but this did leave a lot to be desired when it came to accuracy.
In the UK at least, the advent of the railways was the deciding factor in uniting the various time zones of the country. Until then each town decided when it was noon for them but once railways came along and a timetable needed to be produced , the towns and cities all had to agree to a central time.
...... and of course no train has run to time ever since hehe  |
