Titz Towers, North Notts |
"Junction 24 of the M1.
If I turn left from my house then it's north, right and it's south and I wont have anyone tell me any different "
Pretty spot on. Where I am in Notts, we speak with a Northern accent, travel 30 minutes south and they have southern accents. |

North is when it's 20 degrees and classed as a scorcher. In the north the only gloves that are worn in winter are oven gloves. The summer consists of one hot day at 24 degrees. |

South is where we have to bear the derisive comments of others claiming how weak we are. That would be the English putting up with the Scots' derision, those below 'Midlands' from those above, Londoners from EVERYWHERE..... |

Governmentally the North of England lies between the Scottish border and, roughly, the River Trent. It includes the authority regions of Manchester, Liverpool, Tees Valley, North East, North of Tyne, Sheffield and Leeds (Wikipedia).
Culturally and linquisticly 'The North' has been considered as starting north of Watford Gap but this would include The Midlands as well. |

Not a chance
That Easterly Siberian wind erodes very sexy guys to become just sexy, where as the warm North Atlantic drift ensures Western guys remain very sexy |

North is where stoke (on Trent) ends and becomes Cheshire. So m6 junction 16, and above.
Coming from the top of S-o-T I’d personally say I’m more a northerner than southern or midlands. |
