But let's just say I'm back and I can report that Pooch is still with is .

He will be permanently blind but everything else seems to be slowly coming back .

Good to hear OP. My mate had a little cat that went blind and she was fine at finding her way around as long as she didn't move the furniture!

Great News Grumpy. We have a Westy who is now deaf and blind. It's amazing how animals adapt to their situation. So pleased for you xx

Lost mine recently was no pain like it. Plus the vet “accidentally” keeping him for three weeks when he was meant to be cremated was the final straw.

Oh great news.

It will certainly be an adjustment for both of you, but he will adapt so much faster and better than you will to it. So long as his sense of hearing, and especially his sense of smell are active he will champion through it.

So don't stress over how he is doing and adapting to it. Focus on adapting yourself to the change for him. It's the best way to help him.

Dogs are so much more resilient and able to deal with things like this.

He had a fall and it caused brain swelling and permanent blindness, hes recovering ok ish , cheers
