I wonder what happens when your turn comes if you don't want it at that time. Will you go to the very bottom of the list?

I know someone that had it done 2 days ago and said she's had no problems just a bit of an aching arm so I hope it goes well.

Once they get the most vulnerable groups vaccinated though things should start getting better

Delivery is dependent on;

1. The availability of the vaccine, which isn’t as good as the government had promised

2. Volunteers; around 30k people are needed to deliver on a 24/7 basis. This includes volunteers to book people in, deliver injection and do post injection monitoring

3. Capacity; after each person is given the injection it takes 20 mins to clean down the areas and prep for the next person. So in an 8 hour shift one person can deliver 16-24 people.

I have had this from my boss who has under gone training this week and who starts delivering the vaccine from Monday

Yes. Vaccine isn't what matters, what matters is vaccination

The first wave of volunteers are being called for from St John’s and retired doctors/nurses/army medics

Then it will be opened up to general first aiders (who will likely be doing the post jab monitoring).

When it gets opened up, I’ll be volunteering
