I’ve had major issues in the past as a plus size girl but I don’t know something has changed for me. I’ll repeat what I said on a thread the other day, try to think what your body can do rather than what it can’t.
For me I have a body that’s capable of doing wonderful things. I have a face that’s got a huge friendly smile that helps makes others feel comfortable and I have a mind that makes me good at my job.
We should be complementary about ourselves and look for the positives about ourselves too. |

My issue has been making sure my body is how I want it, not others.
Yeah, I like being strong and fit, but I also like food... so I've settled with toned yet soft.
Also... the pubes are back! Sick of waxing and shaving and stubble. Plus, I've decided sex is just more comfortable with pubes.
I think you do get to and age where you just think "if you don't like it, you can leave it!"
What they say about self love is so true. As long as you're happy with you, does anyone else's opinion really matter? |

For me a lot of body positivity issues (not all) came from a fear of rejection or ridicule.
I learned to accept myself a long time ago, so no one has any power over me.
Im an old, fat, balding, average cock size ugly male. If I can accept that, no one can say or do anything that will cause me harm.
Its also important to note those attributes do not define who I am, and if someone is not attracted/interested in me because of my physical attributes then fair play. We all have our own preferences.
I know what I have to offer and its simply a case of looking for those people who are into what I like. |

I'd like to thank everyone who posted, you've all given me things to think about. I really should be more positive about myself, I have lost a lot of weight in the last 6 years, going from a 35 stone bloke with a 56 inch waist to a 20 stone bloke with a 44 inch waist but I still look in the mirror and see the lovechild of stone cold steve austin and shrek. |

Yep, I suffer from this too.
I went a few years avoiding looking in mirrors as I hate what I saw.
It turns out that over those years I was suffering from depression and just in denial.
Since then, and since talking to someone, I made some changes to my life and reprogrammed my head (using NLP) and I'm now enjoying life again.
I find now, since looking after my mind, I'm now looking after my body more and I'm happier with my own image. Still not confident or 100% happy with it, but I have sensible goals that I'm working on to improve myself. |

Well maybe not an age, more a point in your life when you think fuck it. Op, your body has achieved and can achieve so much more. Sometimes I have the odd wobble but I've got to a point where yes, I'm chubby but that's okay. I love myself most of the time because disliking who I am, what I look like is draining and I don't need that negative energy in my life. Nor do you OP. Find peace with who you are and what you look like, do things that you enjoy and be as kind to yourself as you would to a friend who has the thoughts you do. x |

I've pretty much always been fat, sometimes unhealthily so, but ya know what, I suit it
On the few times I have been thinner, it doesn't look right on me, my head doesn't shrink so I tend to look like a lollipop
Having some tub on me balances the head out
Now I am of an age, if I lose weight, the elasticity in my skin just isn't there so I get the sag
That, to me, is more of a mental issue than being fat and my confidence in being naked drops when I am thinner than when I've got my 'winter layer' on
I also seem to get more interest when I am bigger - maybe because my confidence in how I look shines through?
Don't get me wrong, some days I would love to inhabit a different build, but there are things about me that I can't change - age, height, face etc - and having a more 'in shape' body wouldn't guarantee people would want to meet me
As I've got older, I have owned 'me' and am quite unashamed about it
I am certainly over how others on a swingers site judge me on my body alone
It's how I judge it, how I react to it and how I manage it that is important
So, if you're not happy with your body, change it |

I can relate to loads of that. I've spent years wishing I was super slim and boobless, only to do a complete 180 and decide that the opposite is what works for me. I could def do with losing a bit just now but if drop too much I just look gaunt and all out of proportion. |

There ya go OP
I've uploaded a full body naked pic
See that, I can do some things with it - I can tone up certain areas, lose a bit of the moobage
I know that, it's up to me to do something about it
But see the middle bit, the saggy tum at the bottom, that's gonna be there forever unless I fill it with more fat or until I pay for surgery
Neither of those are really an option, so I'm kinda stuck with it, so I need to own it
Change what you can, learn to accept what you can't |

Ah, I didn't see this post
I was always the 'fat kid' at school and lacked self confidence well into my adult life
As an adult, I've been anywhere between 11 & 20 stone, which as a 5ft6 bloke is not healthy
I think once you have been the 'fat kid' and battled with weight all your life, in your head you are always fat, no matter what the scales say or people tell you
It isn't easy to lose weight for everyone, no matter how many fitness 'experts' tell you otherwise, but it is possible
What, in my case, was harder (and still is some days) was shaking the mental effects of being big, learning to accept your body and how you adapt and live with it (even if you can't 'love' it)
I am far from ashamed of my body, but I am conscious of it and pretty much check myself daily
That's OK though, cos it's when I don't that the pounds start creeping back on
I don't want to be huge again - but that comes from a health POV as opposed to aesthetics or the need to be seen as attractive by a group of strangers on an online platform
Sorry, for going on btw |

Totally get you, OP.
As someone who was very slim up to her early 30's (illness intervened) and is now 5 stone heavier, I find it a struggle loving my body.
I'm fine with my boobs/legs/bum, which is why I have photos of them. But I detest my fat belly.
I'm getting more confident as I now realise I'll never be slim again. But it's tough on the "I'm fat & ugly days!"

Most people have some body issues, even supermodels. They are usually even more critical of themselves. |

I was going to say exactly this too. From someone who massively favours bigger guys, I like your body OP. The biggest thing that makes or breaks it for me is a guys posture, so I think it's really good you're actively focusing on confidence and positivity. Easier said than done but someone with confidence to just flaunt what they've got is the most attractive thing for me. |

I've never felt happy about my body. As a kid I was always slightly overweight though not massive. From 19-22 ish I ended up the ideal weight for my height etc and looked gaunt and ill it was horrible. I've bobbed up and down since then from 11-13 ish stone. I feel most comfortable at about the 12 stone mark but sitting at just under 13 at the moment.
I found going to swingers clubs over the last 20 years has really helped, even though I still don't like the way mu body looks I can walk around naked or with just a towel and not worry at all. Seeing people of just about every conceivable shape and size enjoy themselves in clubs has been a very liberating experience. |

People can look at other people and make false judgments.Someone you might think is confident might be insecure. So most of us have self doubts or issues about how we look.
Mine are from a monster that I was with making me repeat in the mirror that I'm a skinny ugly mess that no one could love but him.Repeat that day after day or get punches and you start to believe it.Then see curvy people on TV with stunning figures and it confirms it.
My mental issues mental conditioning that was drilled into me by someone else have nearly disappeared now with help but I'm still not and never will be happy with my shape.size.looks.
I think theres a lot of factors such as the media portraying a certain look and shape that isn't what most of us are.It could be bullying as basically started my body issues.or just looking at others and thinking I wish I had there shape or whatever.Yet the person we are envious of could be as self conscious as us.
Anyway were all different and look and think differently but for me personally that's my opinion x |

At the moment any clubs that have managed to open at are or should be just for pure social and socially distanced so not the best of times. Once things have calmed down again and it's leagel for clubs to open properly again as swingers clubs, FAB will open the club section back up on here so you can search for local clubs to you and get to read reviews. Also make sure that you check out the clubs own website and any questions just contact the club. |

Mainly because its not seen on men that much. Or its not openly spoken about! I dont find them embarrassing on people, I was embarrassed I got them from being a big lad |

"I'm havent been positive with my body in the past and started going to the gym, I'm no where near a 6-pac and still enjoy the food I shouldn't but it gave me a lot of confidence in general and now im not bothered really, I'm a man with stretch marks which is a bit embarrassing but if someone likes my body, they do and if they don't, they don't..
Why do you find stretch marks embarrassing?
I have them too, but then again so did my ex, who had a 28" waist and had never been fat
Mainly because its not seen on men that much. Or its not openly spoken about! I dont find them embarrassing on people, I was embarrassed I got them from being a big lad "
I assume you've tried the Bio oil route? |
