I had to sack this place off for the sake of my own sanity during the 1st lock earlier in the year. Did anyone else find it super tough? Not necessarily in a meet and shag sense but in a more existential way? I’m sure this will have been covered in the forums over the last few months but I genuinely struggled like fuck and I’ve managed to, not only keep my job and good on the table, but my firm has actually managed to grow. There’s absolutely no shame in admitting that you’ve struggled this year. Happy to lend an ear to anyone that wants to vent |

"I’ve been absolutely loving life. I’m really lucky I have my shit together 24/7 regardless of any pandemics.
Definitely no crying in the shower with a bottle of wine over here. "
You certainly seem like a person that has a very solid base with no flaws that would break you in a pandemic |

Massively appreciated. Feel like blokes don’t do enough about saying they find things tough or tricky |

Yes it has been challenging. I have only just started earning again for the first time since last November. The nature of my work is that it is always quiet in December and January, but a year without an income has been tough. That said I worked on finding a way to do some of what I do virtually and eventually it is starting to pay dividends.
Emotionally I’ve been in relatively good shape, but at times spending almost all my time at home, except the odd trip to the supermarket or a garden centre or B&Q has been less than desirable. Particularly as the weather deteriorated and I couldn’t spend as much time in the garden. Household and garden projects prevented me from climbing the walls, and alive finally learned a few DIY skills I never though I’d get round to learning, as I usually got a professional in to do them.
So all things considered aim in pretty good shape and thankfully so are all nearest and dearest. |

So great to hear that you’ve managed to keep yourself positive in the face of all this shit. Genuinely love to see people that can do well and be happy about it |

Thanks man, I’d be lying if I said it was easy. I’m definitely on the other side of it but there was a good few months of introverted thinking and hating my self. If anyone sees this and finds it helpful then it would be an absolute result |

Been fine for me. Less expenses has also helped sort me out too. It's been harder work than normal though but nothing I can't cope with.
However I feel sorry for those directly affected and who have lost loved ones, passed themselves, lost their jobs etc. |

Exactly this, in these times it would be so easy and understandable to just shrink into your own shell and think about your own stuff. You’re super fortunate mate |
