Really not very well at all! Went down hill with an injury in the summer. Finding motivation with gyms closed has been difficult and other stuff going on...but I’m back in it now so here’s to 2021 ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

I will try lol but 25kg drop set sit-ups are proving quite difficult
50 sit ups with 25kg
Drop 5kg off only brake is lifting 5kg off back in to it
Nother set off 50 and drop 5kg off
And so on
Works out to 6 sets off 50 300 sits ups in total dropping from 25kg |

I must admit to putting on a bit of 'Lockdown lumber', mostly around my middle, due to my increased consumption of beer Any tips for shaking it off Shag? Bearing in mind I'm a 52 year old guy too.....![](/icons/s/2/santa_biggrin.gif) |

It could of been going better I must admit, still walking between 7 and 10 miles daily. Haven't been swinging the kettlebells as much as I should be. But I won't berate myself too much. |

Pretty good, though I'm hoping to pick up the pace next year, thanks for asking.
I'm in awe of everyone who has improved their fitness this year with everything else going on, well done all of you. |

Roughly 4 stone down from January and well passed the point I thought was possible. X"

Not as good as I wanted, not as bad as I had feared.
Long hours working from home have an impact, I miss my daily walk to work and the sessions in the gym every other day. I have tried to have mini workouts after each phone call, like sit-ups or weight lifts, that kept the pandemic pounds under control but I could do more.
I still gained a couple of pounds but thanks to exercise and a a healthy diet it is limited.
I will use the Christmas break to exercise more and also have some long walks outside. If I am not too lazy again ...

Its honestly as bad as trying to lose weight.
Some people are not happy with themselves for being to big
Some like me for being to small with no curves
So it's not all about losing weight its about being happy with the shape we want to achieve x |

I do go out walking a lot with the pup though!
From 2nd Jan I need to get rid of this menopause weight though - I’ve too many really nice clothes in a size 12 to accept being a size 14! "
At least you’ve got goals!! |

Yeah - but I’m just a little fed up that I’m out walking at least 1.5 hrs per day but the excess weight hasn’t come off! Clearly I’ll have to drastically reduce my calorie intake too - which won’t be easy as I already eat fairly healthily! X |

Though seriously, now is not the time to be beating yourself up about image. Look after yourself and try and stay balanced.
Diet today has consisted of Dominoes, a cup of mange tout, chocolates, percy pigs and crisps!

Maybe you’re eating too healthy and your body is storing what you’re putting in? |

I'd say a 6.5/10
Managed to get back into shape abit and start hitting the gym, Lockdowns have proven difficult and I can't bring myself to work out at home!
Hitting the gym hard now and getting back into the 'swing' of things!
Onwards and upwards! |

Nah - it’s just that I’m 52. Mother Nature is telling me I should be a comfy, cuddly cardigan granny.

My dog is still a puppy - so he destroys the house if I don’t take him out - quite an incentive!
What breed do you have? ![](/icons/s/biggrin.gif) |

Yeah I know I get you I was only being silly, I have a mate who's skinny as a rake and just can't put weight on whatever he does, he's not happy about it.
You're only young, 25 seems to be a common age where the metabolism slows down and you might start putting a few lbs on then. |

Need the gyms to not get lockdown again in the new year.
You just start making progress and then a month off and you are back to square 1.
Its unbelievable how much fitness and strength you lose in just a month. |

Christmas always adds a few pounds on me but I ain't gonna watch what I eat at Christmas.

Not bad at all for me. Wolf has converted our garage into a gym so I can train everyday even if it’s for half an hour. I’m trimming down nicely after putting a bit on in the first lockdown (I’m blaming all the rum)
He’s packing the muscle on too ![](/icons/s/mrgreen.gif) |

My fitness routine hit a few bumps during 2020 with coughs and colds lasting what felt like forever at the start of the year, then an achilles injury for a few months and now an injured knee from a fall on a mountain hike.
Even against these setbacks I still managed over 850 miles of running this year, nowhere near my original target of 1250. I also had 3 races postponed until 2021.
Nevermind, I will be back running very soon and will start marathon training.

I want to get up to a half marathon by wheelchair in 2021. I've done 10 miles (slowly) before but my original plan for 2020 was to do a decent 13-miler. Covid and surgery kiboshed it unfortunately! |

I’d just passed a plateau on one key exercise and the gyms closed. I stopped doing anything, other than eating everything I could get my hands on.
That’s how my fitness plans went. |

Lost my belly, dropped from a 36 to 32 inch waist...losing 2 stones!
Running 6 miles in an hour after 40 years of a no exercise regime.
Feeling good....and done without professional help...just sensible eating and regular exercise.

Figure and weight:
- 62kg in Jan-May, dropped to 48kg in Spt and now back to 56kg. Hope to maintain at 56.
- waist from 30/31 to now 28inches.
- less waist fat. Love it.
.
Strength :
- feel weaker.
- legs are skinnier as I've stopped playing badminton.
- overall muscles are getting less toned and skinnier. |

I would say pre second lockdown I was at a 7.5 out of 10, I'd lost 2.5 stone since end of May/beginning of June. Got my strength back up by going on the exercise bike and was back doing 2 dance classes a week with a view to getting back to aerial hoop. Now dance studios are shut so has my motivation, I am still going on the bike and eating healthy most of the time but motivation is not the same
