Trust me OP 36 is not old, and "ugly" is subjective but if you truly think Fab is making you feel worse about yourself then maybe time to step away from it for a while?
Or work out why it's making you feel that way and do something about it because everything about your experience of the site is in your hands to control - whilst you can't, of course, force people to find you attractive, you can try and alter your mindset to a more laid back one that doesn't place too much expectation on the site and takes more of a "whatever will be, will be" approach. |

This site can shred your self-confidence if you let it.
As Gemini Man has said, you are in control of your experience on here. Right now with covid restrictions a lot of people aren't meeting, which means fewer people chatting than normal (and it's tough to get decent responses even in non-covid times).
The more lightheartedly you use the site, the more fun it can be, but as most posters have said, if it's not fun then take a break and come back refreshed. |

You are allowed to feel down and sorry for yourself it's just part of being human. We all have those days but they do pass. |

Darling, 36 is not old!
You’re only as old as you feel, so start feeling as young as you are. The world is still very much your oyster and age is a poor way to measure a full life
As for ugly, you have a cracking body from what I can see. Breath and don’t let fab get you down. If it isn’t fun, take a break! X |

No, you absolutely do not have to "get over it", nor is there anything "dick" about feeling sorry for yourself - what you *do* have to do though is find what works for you to help getting past the way you are feeling right now - for some it'll be talking to people about the way they feel, for others meditation works, or exercise, or self-help videos/books or any number of other things but you absolutely do not have to simply "get over it" or "snap out of it" or any of the other manly phrases that you may think of. |

The mind is a bastard at times
Most of the time, I think I look pretty good for my age, yet other times I revert back to 'hiding' myself away from people and feeling shitty
I find Fab isn't a great place to be when I'm in that mindset, more so if I am interested in actually engaging people as opposed to just hanging around the Forums

"I truly feeling old and ugly I think fab makes me worse "
Sorry to hear that OP.
Maybe a good time to step back from FAB and work on your self esteem issues. You might be able to access councelling via work, or your GP that would be helpful.
Hug of support to you. |
