According to the article he paid half a mil of his own money to hire a boat for the cast and crew to isolate on so they could shoot the movie.
His method of dealing with it is undoubtedly wrong, but he maybe has a point-albeit going about it in completely the wrong way. |

If my staff were willfully ignoring rules put in place to ensure that my business could stay functioning and could provide a mechanism for other similar businesses to function then I would be speaking to them in a similar if not harsher tone.
But lets just focus on the wrong thing, its Tom Cruise and he is short. |

He just sounds like a man passionate about making a movie in very testing times. But trying to do everything possible to make it work.
Very easy for people to say he is in the wrong but I’m sure many of those people have never been in that situation.
If think as he was obviously addressing a group of people then there is nothing no wrong with it. They needed telling. |

He's also probably standing really far back so has to shout. To me it feels a bit like a teacher telling off a class because they care about them and want them to do well. |

I have never understood the hate for Tom cruise...his religion doesn't bother me,he spends hours with fans at film premieres and his films are harmless, he's not just the actor he's the producer so he has to look out for everything |

Actually the crew member broke covid rules thus potentially shutting the production down which would have caused crew members to not be paid |

I know someone who owned a restaurant which he hired for the evening. He and his party were polite, appreciative and thoroughly pleasant. He was also a generous tipper.
Personally I don't have an opinion on him, although Scientology is difficult to fathom.
It's easy to judge from afar. |

I heard it yesterday..... just shows how serious he is about the pandemic and how he wants to complete the movie..... it is a little over the top though....

He's not just the actor, he's the producer, if someone breaks strict rules that could jeopardise production then he has the right to rant,crew members dont get paid if film is shut down for 14 days |

Also I read some shpeel that there were no tall actors that would have the same charisma as Tom and he was perfect to portray a character who in the book I believe is 6'5" I really really liked the books and everything about Jack and can think of several people more suitable for the role and shame on Lee childs for letting it happen... |
