So Jessie from little mix can’t cope and is leaving the ‘band’

Did she take part in a talent show to gain fame ans fortune in the quickest way possible, not having to pay any dues playing shit holes for no money.

Being a rocker who’s favourite bands are either dead or still going after 40 years, I find it ridiculous that this is the situation

One direction lasted 5 years ‘ too much pressure ‘

Music is dead

She quit on the same day as the final of her bands tv show

She announced she was quitting while they were performing on strictly

She hasn’t quit social media or insta which is where the bullying was.

She knows this will gain her a lot of press and a probable singles career.

There are people with geniune issues and need help. Personally get a funny feeling about her and I don’t believe it.

However I would like to throat fuck her

She has mental health issues. If the lass has had enough then all the best to her. Can’t have been an easy decision, but it’s one she had the balls to make.

Good on her. I wish her all the very best.

And I hope the arseholes who troll her online fall down a wishing well and lose internet connection, permanently!!

Lots of famous people suffer from mental health issues. Some don’t always see a way out and pay the ultimate price for it.

I don’t think waking away is ridiculous at all

Your such an oldie.

It’s just as much work now to make it in the music industry , just different. Talent shows aren't new, and spotters look online instead of in pubs. Lots of old band gave up too. Go burn some coal and eat a lard sandwich

Surely all musicians made the choice to make it in the industry. Some step back.

Bit harsh. I don’t know her, I’m not a fan of her music and I doubt we’d have anything to talk about but I do feel for her and other young pop stars.

Yes they want to be famous and make a shit load of money. They definitely do that, but that world is brutal. Nothing can prepare an 18 year old kid for the world they are entering.

Most ‘proper bands’ that I follow have worked their way up so can gradually acclimatise to the fame and aren’t ridiculed for how they look. These kids from X factor etc are chucked in the deep end by management and then hung out to dry.

All true but they don't have to, do they?

If it's true, that she's remained on the various social media forums where the bullying occurred, I find that bizarre.

I watched her programme about the abuse she was getting and it obviously caused her mental issues by those vile trolls but why remain on?

Social media ca be, and is, addictive.

Also, why should should she have to remove her SM?

I don’t understand the criticism for her needing to step back from work because her mental health is shot to shit. You wouldn’t be saying the same if she had a different illness that meant she was unable to work, so why do it with mental health?

She is ill. She is too ill too work. End of discussion.

Well they definitely don’t have to do it but given the opportunity who wouldn’t? Most of these kids have grown up in the age of social media where being on love island is an actual career aspiration!

I’m guessing the social media thing will be steered my her management who will be telling her she needs to keep them open for the future so she can go back to work when she’s well. In reality these management companies are parasites who should do more to protect these kids instead of milking them dry.

I genuinely agree but, according to her herself, she joined only because she was told slto by Little Mix management. In her case I'd say it's nothing to do with the bullies winning surely her mental health and wellbeing is far more important.

It might be a generational thing but I don't believe anybody needs to be on social media to get through life.

"Celebrities aren’t in the real world she talks about the pressure of fame try struggling to feed your family!!"

We all have our own problems that are significant for us... Some have life or death situations and deal with them like a bump in the road, some have too much pressure from social media and can't cope. It's human to be fragile. I dont know her , or her band, I don't know social media, I generally hate celebrity culture but equally mental / emotional wellbeing issues don't discriminate. If she needs time out to get better... I wish her a speedy recovery.

I don't know the answer to that and I also agree that her mental health and well being are paramount.

Our son was badly bullied at school. I would have had him out of school in an instant but it would have meant him being deprived of all the social and educational benefits that school brought him. We didn't want him to lose out because of someone else's behaviour. I tend to feel the same about social media bullying. Don't make it the victims responsibility.

I got into a relationship many moons ago, first 3 years were sound, last 8 were abusive.

Eventually I found the courage to leave.

Should I have remained in that situation that was taking a toll on my mental and physical health because I chose to get into it in the first place, not knowing the outcome?

Should I have behaved like a good little wifey and continued down that path like women back in the day when women did what they were told?

I don't fucking think so.

Even if she does have a solo career out of it so what? She may be in more control that way. She will know the things that she struggles with being in a band and hopefully be able to avoid them as a solo artist.

She could make music from a safe place for her. Not all artists tour, not all artists live for social media.

Give her a break, you're no better than the trolls.

"I got into a relationship many moons ago, first 3 years were sound, last 8 were abusive.

Give her a break, you're no better than the trolls."

"So Jessie from little mix can’t cope and is leaving the ‘band’

Did she take part in a talent show to gain fame ans fortune in the quickest way possible, not having to pay any dues playing shit holes for no money.

Being a rocker who’s favourite bands are either dead or still going after 40 years, I find it ridiculous that this is the situation

One direction lasted 5 years ‘ too much pressure ‘

Music is dead "

what have any of your comments got to do with with each other?

Music is dead?...no, it's changed, just like the genration before you had said when your favorite bands came along and killed it.

Many of your favorite band had thier own problems, many mental health based too.

Yes, musicians have many routes to fame anf fortune available to them but just like any commercial venture, they are paid for by those who are happy they exist. The fast track is the double edged swoard for some and some simply don't want, won't or can't be in it for longer than the time they're given.

but please, flaming someone for getting it too easily and not making music that speaks to or for you - then disparaging them for not sticking around for long becsause they are having is tough time is the very sadest reason to raise a point I can imagine.

Please, Just, put your stones away and think about something else.

Trolls have a lack of empathy, a failure to understand or care about the impact their cuntish behaviour has on other people.

They cause hurt, then revel in it.

All the time hiding behind keyboard, like the cowardly scum they are.

Did I?

I personally called you personally a troll?

OK.

I was talking to a wider audience, as in those reading who have the opinion that it's a publicity stunt, that she chose that path so tough.

"You're" encapsulates that group of people.

If I was talking to you personally and calling you a troll, I'd have absolutely quoted you, to reply to you personally, and I wouldn't have used the words "no better than" I'd have outright claimed you were one.

This would make me laugh if it was not sad, how many indie/ alt rockers have died or been seriously burned from drugs and excess due to the pressure of the business. How many othere are still touring for love of music rather than having to pay the tax man, the ex- partner or the kids rehab bills.

We won't mention Amy Winehouse one of the great talents of recent times. R.I.P.

Rock fans love their silo of exclusionary brilliance.

This is like the Lewis Hamilton threads - lets make unpleasant personal judgements about people we dont know.

Lots of people have mental health issues....lots of people are ambitious and want success.....and a lot of people fund that success -whether it be a promotion or becoming famous - brings a lot more pressure than they ever envisioned.

Give her a break.

I think a break is all she seems to want, though I have zero knowledge of Little Mix. Walking away from the pressures she has sounds like it’s needed. I didn’t see the documentary she was on, but I do know of young people who positively learned from it and have benefits from their changes.

As ever, mental health is individual, let her crack on if she feels she needs it. Haters will always hate, if she can walk away from the social media etc that will help her.

"Jessie is pretty and has got money and management / PR so she will get the best treatment for her mental health issues that money can buy.Now imagine if she didn’t have money to get treatment where would she end up.I know that money doesn’t always bring you happiness but it can go a long way to getting you the best care available.

Yeah cos like attractive women have it easy right?

Whats her looks got to do with anything?. In today’s music industry it helps if you are pretty and Jessie is

Are you saying that attractive people get treated better?

I would beg to differ. Her attractiveness has probably got her her into Little Mix and if she goes solo or pursue something else her attractiveness will help.Does she get treated better because she is attractive I don’t know. When I said she was pretty I meant it as a compliment

She will get treated better because of her wealth rather than her looks."

. Yes I agree money talks always has and always will.As Jessie has it I personally hope she does get better

And how many of those rock bands are still going, 40yrs later, with the original line up?

Exactly. Very few. Members left, were kicked out, died (due to various causes) etc. Many rock band members have suffering significant mental health and addiction problems as a consequence of their fame (see aforementioned "died" - many relating to said MH issues, addiction etc).

Little Mix might well be around in 40yrs time, who knows? Just not the original line up.

Just like AC/DC, Rolling Stones, Sabbath, Metallica, Queen, The Eagles, Jethro Tull, ZZ Top, Journey, The Who, Lynard Skynard, Deep Purple, Judas Priest, Aerosmith, Scorpions (need I continue??)

Bloody Queen - that quitter Mercury, how dare he give up in 1986 (when no-one knew about the illness that would kill him 5yrs later). Jeez

I don’t know much about the band or the lady in question but is she the talented one or are they all as good as each other perhaps she’s prefer a solo career Noel Gallagher said it’s much easier as a lone artist as it is being part of a big group perhaps once she’s had time out she mite go on to a solo career

I was shocked to see the transformation in her face, quite upsetting. I hope she withdraws from public life, addresses her issues and, tries to regain some normality and peace.
