Do prisoners have sex in the showers and cells, or is that just a tale made up to scare young folk to obey the law? Surely it would sound quite attractive to some who end up getting more than they realized. Is the old saying "don't bend down in the showers, and what happens in prison, stays in prison' true? There must be some kind of security that prevents it, but what if a couple are in love? Can they freely have sex in prison, or do they break up couples? Just one of those curious things (I'm watching repeats of Cell Block H)

Waiting to see what Joan Ferguson gets up to next, but keeping the next episode in suspense. Don't want to spoil it by checking the online plot summary. Like to use my imagination for now. |

Sex in B category and below (C & D) Prison is pretty frowned upon by the prisoners and staff, it is a very homophobic environment.
When it does happen it tends to be either to pay of a debt or by force. But it is rare as most do not want to be labled gay.
In the long term and lifer prisons I hear it is more common, also in the jails that house only sex offenders. |
