It was only good as you remember it..

Yes  , it was one of those programs you had to be home in time to watch, or you taped it on your video recorder ( for all you younger ones, google "video recorder" ). Bring it back, we should start a campaign.

I watched it RELIGIOUSLY when I was a young teenager. At one point I could have told you, at the drop of a hat, EVERY record in that week's Top 40....and it's chart position. I worshipped TOTP!!!

Watched it every week in my teens and loved it,brings back so many great memories...but also remember how bad pans people were and the miming was horrendously bad at times, but still,it were great...lol |

The miming was atrocious! And why was live music perfectly fine on the Old Grey Whistle Test? That worked.
Thing is I also remember weeks of soporific 'soul music. Or even worse … Bay City Rollers!
Arrrrrrrrrgh!
