is don't go far to meet a meet because if it don't go to plan you get dumped at a train station and tell you to make your own way back.... lol

I remember a guy posting a few months back who had met another guy. This guy left him in a country lane to make his way home. It was awful. Some people have no consideration for others.

Apologies for being blunt, but you met, he didnt fancy it, so what's the problem. Did you expect a lift back to your door? If a single guy had posted this think the reaction would have been a lot different.

By the way guys & girls it was me, if anybody wants to know!!!!

I'm not going into details as to why i didn't feel happy or how i liked the evening!!

Suffice to say, i had a drink didn't think it was the right thing to do "drink & drive"..so i suggested the train station dropped the lady of, even suggested to pay...so i don't think morally i did anything wrong...feel free to comment!

I never suggested that anyone did anything wrong or there was any form of obligation to do anything. I was maybe a harsh in posting and in no way have anyone done wrong. it happens... yes train ticket was offered which was very kind.

Perhaps using the 'term' dumped and no mention of the offer of the train ticket being bought gave folks an initial _iew that wasn't quite true

For me the fear is usualy that I will book the ticket (as it's often 25% of the cost to book ahead) and there will be no one there to meet me.........Luckily, I have never had a wasted journey..........

I think a line in the sand is needed here!

I fully understand Diamonds response (I have no ill feeling towards her), wasn't working for me so took the courage & did something about rather just put up with it "so to speak"..my options were limited due to alcohol...so it had to be a train station (which i offered to pay!), we are all adults on here..are we not.

Hope i've not offended anyone on here..case closed shall we say?

As for Case CLosed, never gonna happen fellah.......

I agree, very reasonable for you to say it's not working for me, I also agree that it was jolly decent of you to drop at the station and offer to pay the train ticket back. I don't know where OP lives, I, in your position, may have offered her to wait in a warm car untill the train turned up, but these are details.

As for OP, you have obviously posted upset.....I do think it's a bit indicative that it took at least an hour and a defensive post for you to correct, but at least you did retract, apologise and correct a few things.

Re Diamonds, I can't see anything wrong with the post 'Always have a back up plan', seem s eminently sensible to me.........

hey ho, attitudes on this site are now and always will be stilted in favour of women in general and single women in particular, what are you gonna do?

Ok diamons has said she's sorry for posting in haste. Scott has replied. So let's levave it as that.

Its got naff all to do with anyone other than the OP and the guy she met.

Not interested in the whole ' if a single guy posted' etc i think this should be left well alone now or even removed.

It is a shame that wasn't thought of by the OP and then this thread wouldn't be here and the decent man wouldn't have felt the need to politely put his story over.

The moral of the story....name and shame will never work when the whole story is never posted.

Lesson learnt hopefully.
