Is fab ethnically diverse?

It's as ethnically diverse as the general population. Actually, I think it might be less so due to cultural reasons/differing attitudes towards casual sex/swinging. So no, it's not very ethnically diverse but in some areas it's more so. |

Yes and no!
It certainly is for males - I’ve come across all races on here - and personally I think it’s great that so many transgender people feel that fab is a safe space for them!
For females - yes it’s predominantly white - and you add to that that single women on fab are a small minority anyway - it’s very small.
As to why - I’d say it’s definitely societal and cultural attitudes - and the very different way that male and female morals are still viewed in 2020.
I know that the majority of my vanilla female relatives and friends would be horrified if they knew I was a swinger - and in my home town at large I’d be considered a slag (I am viewed that way by the minority who know my ‘hobby’ - some call me a prostitute!)
I’m aware that the younger generation are more accepting of sexually open and adventurous females - but we still have a long way to go even in our own western culture - in some cultures women would be taking a great personal risk by being on a site like this! |

Tickles me when ppl say fab is just about sex why should it matter....you fcuk who you fancy? If any holes a goal then nah ethnicity shouldnt matter but if youre here chasing some fantasy/preference/fetish then it certainly does. peace an love  |

There’s a podcast on BBC Sounds called Brown girls do it too. It’s interesting, not just for what they say but because the backlash the presenters have had from others about it.
Saying that you like sex and want it is often frowned upon for women, I think it might be even worse for some though  |

Does it need to be? Is it ? Does it matter one way or the other? The obsession with diversity, does it need to cross everything?
Surely, anyone, any persuasion can actively join Fabs, there's no admin police saying no to specific gender's, races or sexual preferences. It is what it is, just like the members personal choices of who they find attractive and wish to meet. |

I think people don't necessarily make statements in such detail as eye or hair colour but they certainly take such things into account when selecting partners even if they are unaware of it . |

There are races I do not find sexually attractive, it doesn't mean I see them as less or not worthy, sexually they are not for me. Just like I'm straight. In my 60 years I've never looked at another woman and thought "I would!"

This is how I look at it. You don't see profiles saying "NO BLONDES! IT'S NOT DISCRIMINATION, I HAVE A PREFERENCE!"

Sadly, some women's preferences will be shaped by personal experience. As a woman I would imagine it hard not to stereotype if I had had a negative encounter or been mistreated.
It's also about who we do/dont find attractive. In the context of where this discussion is taking place, some couples saying they are not into certain races, is no different to me saying I don't want to be contacted by bulls or dominant guys, or women even. My body,my preference, my rules!
There is a huge, huge difference between preference and prejudice, and people should not be criticised for what they don't find attractive x |

I know a lot of black site members left after the multitude of anti BLM threads which was sad.
That said this is a very white country regardless of what the media tell you about immigration. In England and Wales the second most widely spoken language is Welsh. Polish is a very very close third.
I'd say fab is as diverse as the country is, but that isn't a scientific statement just a casual observation. |

I don't think that's right at all.
I'm a brown guy and see it just as a personal preference thing.
Also, means I don't have to waste my time with those profiles as clearly it's not going to work, so appreciate them being up front about their wants and desires.
Have had some excellent times here with some amazing people, so as the adage goes there is Def someone for everyone - just a case of clicking with the right person/people. |

Why though? You're making a presumption about someones preference running deeper than a physical attraction. Where does that stop?
Through the forums we have had some great chats with some black guys and also so older fat white guys. Both we enjoyed chatting to as the conversation was stimulating, but both we were honest that sexually they were not our thing.
Did we wronly discriminate against both or just the black guys? |

Although it will not change minds I would direct people to what for me is the best podcast on swinging which is the "Black and Kinky Lifestyle". In one of their episodes they deal with "Entitlement" and "race" in a straightforward manner. In response to someone saying a preference is just a preference they explained as follows. Most preferences do not have a social, historic, or economic backdrop of slavery and colonialism. As much as people like to pretend these do not affect them they are there. There is a history of treatment of people who are not "white" differently that exists to today. Being colour blind is not the answer as being of different colour is integral to a person. The issue is to treat people as people and with respect and not solely as something different. |

Hidden profiles and ones that don't post on forums or join the chat rooms.

Do you get to see all those profiles from single white females and white couples, looking for black guys only too?
Many is the time I've been stopped in my tracks by something in a profile to the effect of "white guys will be ignored".
Do the heavily publicised Black Mans Fan Club events pander to your perceptions of racism too?
As others have said, it's down to personal preference, and everyone is entitled to their own preferences. |
