Hello all
I hope you are all having a great evening.
Since joining 90% of the messages I send remain unread or deleted. I always make sure I read profiles and if I can, include something in the message to show this.
Am I missing a trick that more experienced fab members might be able enlighten me with?  |

They can't be arsed.

Cpls and single fems recieve a rediculous amount of messages every single day. Most of us bulk delete as there is no way we can reply to everyone. There is nothing personal in doing this. We just cannot keep up. X |

The best thing you can do OP is stop checking your sent messages to see if they've been read or not, or better still delete them from your sent box - it helps save the angst over whether a message has been read or not - which you'll never know anyway as messages can be marked "unread" after reading them.
As has been mentioned a lot of people will read your profile before even opening a message and decide if there is interest based on that - so make sure your profile and pics are as appealing as you can make them.
Then remember this - if you walk down the street, you're probably attracted to around 10% of the people you encounter, and of that 10% probably 5% will be similarly attracted to you - it's no different here.
Also dependent on whether they use filters or not, some ladies here can get hundreds of messages a week - so it's understandable how yours may not get read or how you may get overlooked given the wealth of potential choice.
Finally, messaging profiles "blind" isn't the only approach to the site - the chat rooms and forums are a good way to get to know people and get yourself known, and COVID aside when they're running again group socials and clubs are another option. |

It's a pretty tough gig on here for single guys OP. Obviously it ultimately comes down to whether someone fancies you to get a reply, but the pointers I'd give to at least getting the message read are attach a pic (ideally face) and lead with something intriguingly. If there's no attachment and the preview line shows it just says something basic, there's not much point opening it. Also, bear in mind people shouldn't be meeting just now so maybe people are just neglecting their Fab-min a bit |
