Good eeeeeeeeeeeevening Jim! It's been an energetic day at Kinky Castle for me, left Mr KC time to chill sans child. We went to a flooring shop and bought some expensive lino. Child B held open doors for me and was very polite to everyone. Then we went to Sainsbury's, where Child B helped me get the high up stuff down and sought staff assistance for me (again). We then decamped to the park and played wheelchair/running football. Child B learned all about dribbling and how to put her body between the ball and the player trying to take it off you. We got very muddy and we had to perform the "wee behind a tree" dance with mummy sinking into the mud.
Mr KC insisted on putting up the Christmas tree, which I feel is premature, but was outvoted in a democratic motion |

"Evening Jimglebells
Good eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevening, Hope. Did you enjoy your night last night at Stamford Bridge?"
It was strange, and obviously not quite the same but it was good to be back. It felt like a little bit of normal to see familiar faces etc.
Have you had a good weekend? |

Good evening jim!
I think I may purchase a chest freezer just to keep a years supply of mince pies in, it does my head in that they are "seasonal" and only available for a short time.
Now I'm wondering if that's a little ott or actually a good idea?
Either way I think it has to be done |

Good eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeevening, Wankie. I don't think that buying a chest freezer is over the top. But, you must follow your heart. |

Doesn't that make a mockery of having streetlights? To light the way in the dark? Is it not unsafe to have everywhere just in darkness? |

It’s two out of three streetlights off between 12 and 5 round here. We’re not quite as tight. |

It does a bit. Residential streets have one or two lights. The road I live on doesn't have any streetlights on. The lights on main roads are on. I don't like it, it does feel unsafe to me. |

Maybe it's the difference between the "big city" and more rural towns, but totally dark streets at night in these parts would just mean crime through the roof. My son was mugged at knifepoint whilst walking across a lit supermarket car park, only about half an hour after it closed (in August) |

I'm glad we agree. There's a time and a place for cost cutting, but o don't think streetlights are it.... |

We have them on at the junctions of major roads. You have to use a torch if walking as you cannot see the bumps in pavements. I feel more vulnerable with the torch. |

That might be it. I don't think there's been any difference in crime since the lights off was introduced. |
