I rarely talk about my grandson. Hes 5 and always been scared of santa. Today we took him for his first visit to see him. It was magical. Im not a christmas petson but ive been on the baileys and remembering all the kind of magic from childhood and want to be 5 again.
What was your most magical experience of being a child |

Sounds like a lovely day OP
Christmas was always magical when I was young as we would go to my Nan and gramps from Christmas Eve till day after Boxing Day.
They would have been baking since late November all sorts of home made treats like Sausage rolls, Christmas Cake and we always had a feast and were spoilt.
We always had Christmas in their front room which was their “best” room, and that had a real fire burning.
Happy memories.

I was a very sickly child and had chicken pox, the measles and diarrhoea and vomiting for three of my first Christmases. So the magic of Christmas really only came to me after my son was born. Every Christmas was magic with him during his childhood. He loved Christmas and it was truly special enjoying all the moments with him. Letters from Santa were probably some of the best moments (even though they were from his Grandad). Also after watching Polar 3xpreess he decided to keep believing for another year |

Our mother put quite a lot of magic into our childhood, with the fairies in the garden, the rose petal perfumes, paddling pool just appearing in the garden after school. We used to get so excited about the first glimpse of the sea over the hill on our way to holidays. Early childhood was such a lovely simple happy thing. |

Visiting my grandparents during the summer holidays. They lived a few hundred miles away and it always felt like we were driving to another country. We'd arrive at lunch and all the dogs would be waiting at the gates for us, tails wagging. I remember going to explore the secret garden my grandad built for me and spending time next to the willow tree reading and napping in the sunshine and it felt like the days would never end. It was perfect. |

"Ooh. Science experiments!
My mum would set up mini science experiments. What happens if you put something in water? What happens if you combine gravity with friction?
I learned a lot." must of been magical |

The garden is still there, it's even more cleverly overgrown now. Sadly my childhood has long since past. I hope you have lovely memories to look back and smile at, x |

Sounds cheesey but I just remember a room full of people who I loved and who loved me.... in my grandparents' living room.... Overcrowded, smokey, drinks being spilled and singing until late at night. That was magical. |
