I support Manchester United and I believe we'll sneak a 2-1 win away to West Ham with a dodgy VAR decision
I also have a soft spot for Lincoln City and I reckon they'll beat Rochdale away 2-0 |

"Any fellow Birmingham fans?"
Here mate but I suspect we are alone
Spent almost 30 years in Liverpool so I have an affiliation to the mighty reds as well.
I used to see a Birmingham couple who were Villa fans. Always loved fucking them |

I used to think this but I was in the US once in a park in the middle of nowhere and two people walking past I instantly recognised the accent and got talking, both bluenoses,
On the female front, I used to have a girl I was seeing was a villa fan, always used to remind myself I was fucking the villa |

"It kicked off at 12.30
Well as you're in Berkshire I'd say you're a Reading fan. "
Nope! I didn’t even know Reading were playing at the time they did. I meant the Burnley v Everton game |

"Finally a Derby win for us to cheer
Wayne Rooney is your interim manager? Just noticed that on Football Focus!
For now, hopefully not for the long term"
Why not, obviously we're not going to be pushing for promotion this season, but I'm sure that with the new owners in place, and some of our academy players coming through, we should have a decent team with a couple of signings when the transfer market opens again

No experience and the club is a mess, I'm not counting on the take over going through til the ink is dry on the contract
Eddie Howe would be a better fit |

Would Frankieboi still have been here had we beaten Villa at Wembley?
I believe that he needs a chance, and with the right support he could turn out to be a huge success |

Fat Frank inherited a better side and with the 3 loanies we did better than we ought to have if we are being honest. Rooney might become a decent manager in the future but dont think now is that time.
Plus if it wasnt for Frank's team selection for the final things might have been a bit different |

Life long Leicester City fan. STH, not that it matters much at the moment
Have a soft spot for Liverpool and West Ham too, watching West Ham winning at the moment. Looking forward to going to the KP stadium sometime in the future. |

"Bugger. But when you squander countless opportunities this is always gonna be the danger. "
If it makes you feel better, although I'm happy with the result, we absolutely did not deserve to win that. Seems we're relying on individuals instead of playing as a team |

"I’m hoping that the bells will be ringing for the claret and blue in the early kick off against the Dingles.
Come on you Lions! "
Get in Villa!
Mike Dean is an awful ref and he ruined the game. Still, a win is a win! |

"United season ticket holder actually born and bred in Manchester, I know, it's rare. Big game tomorrow v Leeds, shame there's no fans allowed "
I don't get all the shit about man u fans not being from Manchester... it's an urban myth. I have it on good authority that Manchester is half and half and know many mancunians that grew up around that vibe and are infact man u fans themselves. Yes there's more man u fans in general worldwide but that's just because they were/still kind of successful and so that's why it skews the impression of where their main demographic is
Same as Birmingham, Central Birmingham areas are 50/50 blues villa, I went to Birmingham schools and they had a straight split more or less of the dominant fans, yes you had token pool and man u fans, but it's just nonsense people make up when they're not from the area that it's unbalanced. |

I have to disagree.
I grew up in South Birmingham and the split was more Blose than Villa. North Birmingham was the opposite and from what I see when I go back home it’s still very similar but there’s plenty more glory hunters around.
Villa have traditionally attracted fans from the counties around Birmingham, like Worcestershire, Warwickshire and Staffordshire whereas Blose support is predominantly Birmingham based. |

Everton. Flying start, fell away with injuries but dug in recently and hanging in there with 2 games in hand and our first choice midfield almost ready to return. The future is bright though and Carlo Fantastico is the man to bring a trophy back to Goodison. |

"Keeping Liverpool at bay here atm yayb
Hope you can keep it up
What do you think about Lingard joining you guys?
I rate him tbh , good signing imo , not sure we needed another midfielder though "
Ahhh fair enough. I've always liked him and really want him to do well. Leaving United must not be easy for him but I think he still has something to offer |

London/Essex... ish... Romford to be exact |
"A bit embarrassing to admit I’m a Fulham fan! Hubby’s a Chelsea fan, love to chat with any other Fulham fan on here if there is one! haha "
No need to be embarrassed, that's silly! Far better than a Chelski fan in my book. A proper football fan appreciates it's not all about chasing glory and the general obsession with the 'big six'
Parker and Fulham have done OK all things considered. Probably will still go down but it's by no means a foregone conclusion. I wonder if that embarrassing penalty from Lookman against us (WHUFC) will cost you though. |

Good three points for the Villa today after being outplayed by West Ham midweek.
We have looked tired in a few matches, 6 games in 18 days after half the squad were laid low by COVID has taken its toll. We don’t play again until next Saturday so a welcome break.

"Lee Mason doing the VAR is complicit too. "
Completely. Three awful decisions in a week from the pair of them. I'm less familiar with Mason's history but Dean has been notorious for years now - dodgy reds, celebrating goals, threatening to "finish" players.... That public level of behaviour and incompetency wouldn't be tolerated in any other workplace (well, maybe politicians but let's keep them out of this thread!) |
