Just my own humble opinion, but I feel if someone is genuine they would do it.
I'm not saying you personally are not genuine as you are in the forums, it's just something I look for when I get a random message |

Just to add, obviously a full verification overrides this, but with a lot of new people they've not met, so don't have any.
I've only been here 6 weeks or so, I have full verifications from 2 friends on here I know in real life.
I've met them before Covid and they have verified me.
I chose not to show them cos I got messages accusing me of being a hypocrite saying I won't meet when I've been verified.
I got sick of constantly explaining myself so I've hidden them |

Neither guarantee someone is genuine but if you see someone on cam you can see who they actually are though. In reality a hidden verification is no better than no verifications at all.
Though in reality even aggressive abusive dishonest people can still be verified or go on cam. |

Given the amount of messages I receive asking to meet it makes difference if mine or hidden or not.
The only thing hiding them has done has meant I don't need to keep repeating myself all the time when I say I won't meet.
If people think I'm fake even though I have have videos cumming hands free, and wearing the same outfits in my pictures, the same tattoos on show in different pics, standing in the same doorway on different pics, then quite frankly they need their head examined lol |

We usually look to verifications, that’s shown verifications not hidden, we have never been photo verified but I’m sure people can tell from our veris we are not fake, problem with photo veri is if it’s a couple how do you know that couple is still a couple. |

A fake is more likely to answer and not ask anything about you, they will very quickly go to WhatsApp/Skype and try and avoid Kik (nice little scam possible as there is a way to get at your contacts).
And will ask you to join a verification site of course with your credit card details.

I have 2 people who can testify that I'm real because I've posted a video on YouTube for them but they can't 'verify' me here because we haven't met. As a single man, I can't be vertified without meeting personally and I can't even post a video verifying that I'm real.

All my verifications are hidden as are those of many others. I'm happy to show them to anyone I'm chatting to.
I also have no interest in chatting to anyone on cam and in 4 years on here I've yet to chat to a single lady who would be comfortable going on cam so I wouldn't go by that.
A shiny new profile that is verified almost as soon as it is created is a red flag.
It is quite often an existing member with a second, third or fourth profile verifying themselves.
And I've chatted to women who have admitted to having more than one profile so that they can catch men out.
Are those technically fake profiles also?

3.number off pics they have
Would say verified but I been stood up meney a times from people who have tons off verifications
Mean one look at my profile can tell I am not a fake

I hide my verifications because I've no desire to share them, and I won't chat on cam either before or after a meet because I hate it with a fiery vengeance.
The problem with giving clues as to whether a profile is fake or not is that none of them are actually foolproof. Best used in conjunction with each other and your gut instinct I would suggest.
One of my favourite people on fab isn't photo verified, has only got a torso picture, shares a face pic only after starting to chat, hides his verifications and doesn't use the forum or cam. But he's rather amazing and I'm glad my gut told me to trust him.

Our verifications are hidden. Take a look at our profile, tell me we're fake. 
As people have already pointed out, there are many reasons why verifications are hidden. Because you don't understand their reasons does not make people fake.

Photo verification or meet verification or both.
Look at the profile, does it look genuine to you? Sometimes I read things and think "no that's not real", call it instinct.
How they interact with you, again, follow your instincts. |

When I was new I found my first few verifications really useful. Would those people risk their account, with very many verifications and a reputation locally, to give me a fake verification? My credibility shot up immediately. |

Had a situation like this on another site about a year ago. A lady (supposedly) took a shine to me, asked if I'd like to be friends. Later s/he tried to encourage me to join a paysite they used? I replied to me inform that although I was keen, my bank card wasn't. |

Obvious:
The pics are of a well known porn star from the 90s who hasn't aged a day.
The pics are of someone you actually know, but in a totally different location to where they live and the blurb is out of character.
The plug sockets aren't UK and it doesn't look like they're on holiday.
Possibly suspect:
All of the pics look professional, especially the lighting.
The pics are cropped as if to cut off a site's watermark.
They look just that bit too good to be true.
They post loads of sexy status updates that makes you think they're being gangbanged on a nightly basis, yet never get any verifications or upload any pics from these nightly actions.

Images which aren't very high quality (in terms of pixels, not content  ). I use reverse image look-up if suspicious, many are from Russian/Chinese sites that Google doesn't pick up. Latest guy (very hot....waaay to hot to be interested in me (another sign) turned out to be a Brazilian supermodel. He's even set up a fake Insta account!). Reported, but his profile here is unchanged (kind of pointless reporting it really). It's sad really, but frustrating as I want to be chatting to genuine people, not those wanting to yank my chain. |
