Like Earth is big, but that’s a speck, inside another speck and then there’s billions of Galaxy’s, I don’t get why it needs to be so big, like scary big. |

Not as big as the multi-verse that contains this universe. |

"Yeah, when I think about it too long it really freaks me out. Sometimes even just looking at Google earth scares me "
I saw a photo of Earth taken from light years away and it’s just a speck with a tiny beam of light that’s coming from our sun, everything we’ve every none just in that speck, all the people that ever lived, all the wars fought on that speck. |

Whenever life gets you down, Mrs. Brown
And things seem hard or tough
And people are stupid
Obnoxious or daft
And you feel that you've had
Quite enough
Just remember that you're standing
On a planet that's evolving
And revolving at nine hundred miles an hour
That's orbiting at nineteen miles a second
So it's reckoned
The sun that is the source of all our power
The sun and you and me and all the stars that we can see
Are moving at a million miles a day
In an outer spiral arm, at four hundred thousand miles an hour
In the galaxy we call the Milky Way
Our galaxy itself contains a hundred billion stars
It's a hundred thousand light years side to side
It bulges in the middle, six thousand light years thick
But out by us, it's just a thousand light years wide
We're thirty thousand light years from galactic central point
We go 'round every two hundred million years
And our galaxy is only one of millions of billions
In this amazing and expanding universe
The universe itself keeps on expanding and expanding
In all of the directions it can whizz
As fast as it can go, of the speed of light, you know
Twelve million miles a minute and that's the fastest speed there is
So remember, when you're feeling very small and insecure
How amazingly unlikely is your birth
And pray that there's intelligent life somewhere out in space
'Cause it's bugger all down here on Earth

"Did you know that if the solar system was the size of a 10p piece then the Milky Way would be the size of the USA.
I did not know that, fuck cool, eh? And I thought my cock was a goodly size "

A grain of sand or for example an organism like a microbe in comparison to the earth or the sun is ridiculous in size comparison. Yet it exists. |

I love that photo and the Carl Sagan quote about it.
To make matters worse though that wasn't taken from light years away, it was about 6 light hours. The Voyager space craft has been traveling at around 17 kilometres/ second since that picture was taken in 1990 and has now only reached a distance of around 19 light hours. It will be a very very long time before it gets to be a single light year away |

I think you should calm down and go with the ‘less is more’ approach to life. Focus on the speck. |

Billions upon on billions of years from now the universe will finally stop expanding. All the black holes will have evaporated and proton decay will have ceased there will come a day that the final quantum event will occur and then time will finally stop.....

I'm fascinated by the size, the weirdness, the facts and figures, but understand it......?
I'm convinced there is intelligent life out there, but will we ever get in touch, I doubt it. Unless we, or they find a technology like Star Trek, travel at many times the speed of light it's just impossible. |

I don’t know what’s easier to comprehend the size of the universe and whatever the universe is in, or going really small into quantum physics, I don’t think we are supposed to understand any of it. There’s no answers only questions |
