My sister lives in Canada, my 2yr old niece has a brain tumor that's grown the last 6 months.
They need to operate and she may lose mobility.
Myself, Mam + Dad can't go over there as all 3 of us are vulnerable to Covid and the travel restrictions and quarantine rules would make it really difficult to do.
I often cry about this also. |

That's dreadful, no kid should experience anything like that. Thoughts are with you and your family x |

"?"
That we are not a third world country and there are homeless people on the streets. Also war and how it fucks people’s lives up.
And on top of that pollution and how we as humans generally don’t give a fuck about anyone but ourselves. I say this generally, as it’s not always the case. But all industry seems to do is pollute for profit and ra pe the planets resources without giving back. And poverty. |

I'm struggling with massive loss at the moment.
I even find it hard to talk about.
Im sure it's happened to lots of others, but when it happens to you - it always seems worse.
I lost a tenner. Hi could've sworn it was,in my wallet, but........
Sad days. |

Thank you. It’s appreciated. I’m getting there. Just fighting the urge to give another dog a home too soon. |

One of my closest friends and colleagues took his own life last week. That makes sadder than words can describe.
In general, people- their actions and words make me sad. |

Currently, I think the current Covid situation is quite depressing. The combination of isolation and the 'unknown' about what our futures will be like does make me quite sad.
It possibly doesn't help that we are just about to go into what I consider to be the saddest holiday season of the year too!
I must be truthful and say I am not at all optimistic for the new ' normal' everyone else appears to be.
Unlike some others, I just can't simply laugh it off and it is not doing my mental health much good either. I think that applies to quite a lot of people now.
Having said that I can see why we are in this situation and very much against the people who keep flouting the rules. All that does is make the whole thing longer for us all and means we stay sadder for longer :/ |

People being cruel to animals
People too afraid to be who they are
Old people, when they are proud but struggling (I could cry every time I see my parents)
People without a voice
Seeing how divisive this country has become
I could go on for hours
There's a lot that makes me sad these days |

I had a good friend at school who did that, no note, no explaination. I spoke to him a few hours before, not even the slightest indication that something was wrong. 30 years later I still feel hollow. I hope you can move on, and if they offer you counselling - honestly just try it x |

Reading threads like this which remind me of my dog I held whilst the vet had to give a mercy fatal injection. Then the shit of a narcissist who is using his kids in a bad way to get at my daughter. Then my son who has ptsd after his mate was killed in the green zone in Afghan.. mans inhumanity to man sucks. Mmmmm makes me sad.

Being cruel to animals, yes but also the homelessness around the country, not always through any sort of addiction either, oh and mans inhumanity to man, why would you hate someone so much that you would snuff out their life? |

People's inability to pull themselves out of darkness. I can't relate, or understand it. It makes me sad for them though.
And people who are never happy with what they have but always want more. They will just never have enough. This was my ex |

Peoples brains are all connected differently. Some people can cope and others can’t. |

"What made me really, really sad was seeing those two priests in tears on Monday because of the poverty they were seeing day to day."
I happen to see that, too, and found it really sad. They were not making a show of it, they came across as so genuinely upset with the situation - I thought they were lovely. |

Totally agree. Most of us are literally a couple of months away from being homeless if we lose our jobs and have a family to look after. Homelessness just like Covid does not distinguish between status, age etc. even though apparently people who live on or below the poverty line, are more susceptible. Nobody, especially children and elderly people should have to live below the poverty line in this country. |

Aside from all the usual things mentioned above and fears of something happening to my boys. It is the 3am sleepless nights when I feel so lonely. When as good as I am at being single I really don't want to be. The fact there's no one for me to face the world with and I shoulder everything alone. The fear that I'm probably never going to find the person that loves me as much as I love them, a soul mate.

Depends what kind of a man we are talking about. A pedo, murdered someone, rap, abuses men, women then I’d gladly hate them. |

I think she was generally talking about how people can be so cruel to another human? |

It was a he. And fair enough. But some people deserve the hate they get. |
