Solihull

Premier inns are ok for work or look at booking.com the only advice I'd give you if you book through a hotel booking website like booking.com is to actually phone the hotel itself to make sure they are actually open.

Not every hotel has told the website if they're closed so you could pay through the website and it be closed on arrival.

Nothing in L7. Stay in town as L7 is outskirts of the city centre xx

Liverpool

It's L8 but I've heard good things about the Georgian Townhouse Hotel on Upper Parliament Street.

Penrith

I stayed in the Hilton Doubletree while I was in Liverpool for the weekend in January. It was really good and will definitely return

North West

Nowhere in Liverpool city centre is especially far from anywhere else, so all city centre hotels would suit (sorry we don't have any recommendations though, we have family locally so stay there )

The Town by The Cross

L7 is Fairfield / Edge Hill ........ do not use hotels there unless they are a chain like Premier or Travelodge.

Move closer to city centre ..... There's too many hotels to list..... depends on what you want to pay etc.

Good call and lucky escape from L7! Traffic on the Strand is really bad, try and avoid that route. Enjoy Liverpool
