Name me your favourite film director. A director who once their film has their name on it, you go see the movie (not even needing a trailer)
For me it's Christopher Nolan, followed by Ryan Coogler. |

"David Lynch, I'd watch his outtakes."
I would have said him once, Blue Velvet, Twin Peaks , wild at heart, Dune, elephant man and if it want for him we wouldn’t have Lana Del Ray (she re invented herself on his films) and Julie Cruise music.... but his recent films are so bad |

Oh I'd have to disagree Mulholland Drive, Lost Highway and Inland Empire are all great, perhaps not crowd pleasers.
The third series of Twin Peaks was the best TV I've ever seen. |

"Kevin Smith"
His early work is fantastic, actually fantastic doesn't do it justice. Anything post Zac & Miri Make A Porno hasn't been for me though.
As for me I love pretty much anything directed by John Hughes, never has anyone been able to so consistently write and direct from the perspective of a teenager, and although I'm 36 now, I felt like he got me when I watched his films when I was of that age.
The Coen Brothers are also fantastic. You can't not mention Scorsese either and also Francis Ford Coppola. |

"Shane meadows and Guillermo del Toro"
The thing with Shane Meadows is I've loved everyone of his films that I've seen but never had a desire to watch them ever again. He certainly puts you through the emotional ringer. |
