"Does it bother you? Photo shopped or whatever, flawless skin etc.
False advertising??
What do you think when you see an obviously doctored profile pic?
MsD x"
So long as they look like their picture we don't see an issue (removing blemishes etc) it's the ones when you see the bent things in the back ground suggest editing shapes etc. |

Depends on the reason. The comedy ones are brilliant, like a bikini on a peni, there was a TV called Mikki who had some that literally had me in tears of laughter.
The ones that are to trick tho, nah, I ain't down with that.
Yes I use filters to change the light or add blur for the artistic side, but not to change "me" |

Doesn't bother me as it tends to be those filters that give everyone alien eyes or some very obvious Photoshop giving blokes enormous floor-sweeping cocks.
Either way, it's not like catfishing to me because it's pretty obvious that's not a realistic representation of how the person would look - I have more of an issue when someone uses 20 year old photos then turns up looking nothing like them!
Not something I'd choose to do myself but each to their own. |

I filter some of mine because the light in winter is crap, though will admit playing with lighting of the picture will alter the look of my skin. And using B&W definitely makes my skin look a lot more uniform. But then I post pics of my cellulite arse or me grabbing my belly fat. I'm not hiding who I am it's a collection of different kind of pics. |

I have noticed an increasing number of people that appear to be using the beauty filters...the ones that subtly "airbrush" pictures and can make wrinkles and cellulite seem massively reduced. Personally, I prefer to be completely upfront about what I look like (no surprises when people meet me, I usually send a face picture without makeup), and the only filters I ever use are B&W if I think the picture looks better than in colour, or some blurring to disguise things in the background |

Each to there own, it's there profile and how they want to portray themselves. Even if we were chatting with someone who had all there pic filtered and we were interested it still wouldn't put us off meeting up with them. That's what socials are for right.... Meeting in person to see if you click |

We crop and change the colour of some pictures and in the past I have blurred my medication patch. Now I don't worry about people seeing it so much. I understand those who do it to hide identity but not to alter their look.

I don't mind a little bit and do it myself. The odd pimple has been edited out here and there, and I use colour filters (although face pictures you'll get me as I am). But it does get to a point where it's obviously not real anymore. |

Ive used colour filters and background effects on my recent pics just to add some variety to my new pics.
My earlier pics have no filters so people can see me properly |

I use filters
Just colour change or light added
My ass doesn’t look as good without them
But I advertise that on my page.
I love photography and so many pics are edited all over the place- so a little on fab doesn’t bother me

Guys on here look for pictures of guys with 6 packs on google and use them as there profile photo
I've seen them on threads about loosing weight and how they need to lose stones
and they are the guys all the women go for on here
Now for the women
they look for pictures of good looking women that looks that vaguely look like them
then put one real picture of what they actually look like stuck in there and try to make it look like they are better looking than they are |

"I am talking more about the beauty filters, not the blurring, b&w filters etc.
"
I can't see the point in why people overuse these filters. Some have changed their face and bodyshape beyond recognition. Some legs thinner than their arms in some photos. Surely they must forget when they go meet the guy that he will expect that image to turn up and will get a surprise |

There are some very cartoonish profile pics and yet people fall over themselves to lavish praise on those people and every forum comment is met with oohs and aahs.
We all like to look our best but if the best we can present is a heavily filtered photo then it's a false representation.
There are numerous profiles using the same filters and they all look exactly the same. So much for being unique and standing out from the crowd. |

The biggest crime is doing it badly. I am pure an unadulterated. I have never been touched up on a computer. On the other hand I never get first messages..... |

We crop, sometimes change to B&W or tweak the lighting. Also sometimes put a silly sticker on our faces if we can't crop out. We've added frames to some collage ones too. Otherwise our pics are us, you'd recognise us with our clothes off |

My phone has a mild beauty filter set on it but I definately look like me. I have make up free photos up, and mum tum photos up on fab too these days.
For others, minor touches I understand, over editing I'm less enthusiastic about. |

I remove bad blemishes, tweak lighting and such but most of my better photos are just good angles.
I want people to know what they are getting.
If others want to make themselves look radically different, that's up to them. Though I'm unlikely to meet them. |

"I don’t use anything wouldn’t know how to ..We have metnpeople on here that are unrecognisable from their pics I don’t get it but I suppose it’s up to them.."
Happened to us twice in gran canaria last year.
We meet 2 couples who looked nothing like there photos in real life.
Both times we had one drink with them and made our excuses to leave.
Why but just why.
Just put on who you are not something you are not. |

"I mostly just giggle to myself a little when it's obviously highly edited far beyond reality and loads of people are totally oblivious to it. "
As my status says, it really is that big!
Just ignore the weird buldging and distortion in places, it was a dodgy camera. |

You can get rid of cellulite with targeted massage. |
