Plain boiled hot water. Drink it as hot as you can. Add a little peppermint cordial if you have any x

stuck in house and dont have either of those gutted didnt know if any one knew of remedy using stuff i might have in house even contemplating the dreaded milk

Sounds horrible but works, a big dollop of toothpaste, chew it for a min, then wash it down with a sip of water!!

Get something alkeline in you........It might taste awfull but eat some salt (or disolve a little in water n drink it. Not much or ull vomit, which would solve the problem but be quite unpleasent too).......

Don't be tempted to drink bleach. It might be PH14, but not good for you
