its pretty relative to the situation, a Lion can be fatally wounded by a zebras kick.A lion has to use its specifically designed tools, teeth and claws to subdue its prey.
its possible a zebra could pull more weight I suppose, like a carriage? |

All things being equal, a zebra will easily get away from a lion, it's usualy the young or the old and the sick who are predated, so I would go with Zebra (or Wilderbeast or whatever) |

I heard an interesting thought on the old Chicken/Egg argument.......It was obviously the Egg, as there have been animals laying eggs long before there were chickens................ |

"I heard an interesting thought on the old Chicken/Egg argument.......It was obviously the Egg, as there have been animals laying eggs long before there were chickens................" yes but a chicken would have to have the laid the egg first for there to be a chicken |

Lions tend to hunt in twos or threes to take a zebra down...
Zebras have more to lose and will keep trying to escape or will fight to stay alive.....
I guess like with people each case has different merits.
I remember seeing a programme once where a zebra who was caught by a lioness tried to drown the lioness and got away ... brilliant

chickens(birds in general) evolved from another species(dinosaurs), so the chicken and egg arguments out
I sorta think the chicken and egg arguments pretty redundant, all life basically has some form of sac protection, from the cellular level...right up to fully functioning ostrich eggs-and of course us mammalian types(ur protected in a sac).
so chicken or egg-neither..early single cell structures YES |

"zebra - one kick in the jaw and that lion is dead!
wont be able to hunt or eat" Depends on how hard the kick is. Predators aren't just built to kill, they are also built to withstand punishment from the predators as well. Most big cats can go for several months without making a kill...... |
