There is no doubt in my mind that when he was under Cus D'amato he was the best of all time baring none.
He beat most opponent's before they got in the ring with his ferocious rep.
When Bruno had to fight him for the second time as mandatory defence of his WBC title during his ring walk he crossed his chest 57 times and looked visiblely frightened.
Micheal Spinks's dressing room when they fought in Atlantic City was separated from Tyson's by a wall. Spink's manager was witnessing Tyson having his hands taped pre fight when an argument broke out and Tyson started hitting the wall in temper. When Spink'ses manager returned to his dressing room he was asked who the hell was working construction in the hotel on fight night? When he told Spink's that the noise wasn't sledge hammer blows but Tyson's fists hitting the wall Micheal Spinks refused to go out his dressing room when he was called until his manager talked him round. Despite the fact he was a former world champion he lasted only 91 seconds.
Tyson's downfall was due to a scheming wife who colluded with the money grabbing convicted murderer Don King and the bankruptcy they caused.
I think its sad that only now does he seem to have the psychological tools he needed during the 90's as he would've never lost to Douglas, Lennox and Hollyfield.
Jones i think will loose his advantage of speed with the weight he's had to put on so its Tyson all the way.

"Why are people even asking the question, tyson will batter him"
I think if they'd sanction it he'd beat the shit out of AJ or Fury nevermind Jones.
Shame about them only being allowed 2 minute rounds though aye? |

"Why are people even asking the question, tyson will batter him"
Tyson last fought 15 years ago and was a shell of his former self, losing to an unheralded journeyman.
Jones has been much more active much more recently and has lived a far cleaner life.
I.just hope nobody gets hurt in this exhibition, either of them getting any ideas on making a full blown comeback is a terrible idea. |

This fight has too many pitfalls, no knockouts allowed and its an exhibition 2 minute rounds.
Great cause but as a fighting fan i don't want to watch this. Mike is undoubtedly one of the most explosive heavyweights ever, world champ at 19yrs old.
Why destroy the Legacy, let it go.... |

"Why would you want to cheer on a convicted r**ist"
Also don't get why people who cheer him on. Seems like being a celebrity means your status as a convicted r**pist can be ignored. |
